Art is Ageless® call for entries
Time is quickly running out if you want to enter your works of art in our annual Art is Ageless® exhibit and competition.
Lawrence Presbyterian Manor is seeking artists for the annual Art is Ageless® juried exhibit March 11 – 18, 2024.
Entries of artistic works will be accepted from any area artist who is 65 years of age or over to exhibit and/or compete for an opportunity to be featured in the 2025 Art is Ageless calendar. Entries are due to Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, 1429 Kasold Dr., by 5 p.m. March 6.
The juried exhibit will be held March 11-18 at the community.

Lawrence Presbyterian ManorAnd thanks to an ongoing partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Kansas, residents and friends of Lawrence Presbyterian Manor now have three opportunities to learn more about the 13 Presidential Libraries and Museums in the United States.
The event is called Exploration Time: Discover the Thirteen United States Presidential Libraries and Museums and will be offered on three dates:

Where else can you find a wheelchair that was used daily by one of the presidents, a collection of moonrocks, the "Flying White House, the presidential Air Force One plane, or view the World War II actual world maps studied by the U.S. Commander in Chief before sending American troops to strategic locations?
The course gives a general overview of the Who, Where, When, What and Why of the thirteen U.S. Presidential Libraries and Museums. Special emphasis is on the two outstanding local U.S. Presidential Libraries and Museums closest to Lawrence: the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas and the Truman Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri. The other 11 will also be mentioned, based on personal visits to the libraries and museums and scholarly research.
