Close relatives account for nearly 200,000 unpaid carers In Ireland 187,112* people provide unpaid care and assistance on a day to day basis. The vast majority are close relatives. The Care and Mobility Show will attract many of these people to find ways of helping their loved ones.
As people become wiser with age, they also become less agile Many things become more difficult, tiring or awkward as people age. As over half a million people in Ireland aged over 65 learn, there is often nothing wrong; it’s simply a natural part of getting older. But with a little assistance from the right products or services, they can continue to live independently. The Care and Mobility Show will bring many of them face to face with exhibitors.
Nearly 600,000 people in Ireland have a disability Of the 595,335* people in Ireland with a disability; 244,739 have difficulty with basic physical activities. Many would benefit from knowing more about what can enhance their mobility. It may be a straight forward access solution such as a stair-lift or it could be an adapted vehicle or a simple aid for daily living. Whatever it is, The Care and Mobility Show will attract lots of people looking for ways to improve their mobility.
Attracting professional carers and providers For those involved in the care profession, from home help, nursing and care home management to professional therapists; The Care and Mobility Show delivers an opportunity to broaden their knowledge. To help attract therapists, professional, certified CPD Training is being delivered by no less than the internationally renowned Sharon Pratt.
