Transitional Kindergarten So Many Different Kinds of Birdies by Dan Goldensohn Art by Louise
SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF BIRDIES Words and Music, Dan Goldensohn, 2023 (and All-school sing-along with the whole community) Every bird has its own sound and song, and so do every one of us!
So many different kinds of birdies: Some are big and some are small. Some can fly a thousand miles; Some don't leave their homes at all. Some can swoop onto the water. Some can jump right on the ground. Some can fly so high above us And everyone has got their special sound. Everyone has their own special sound.
You're the only you! I know this is true, And you know that I’m the only me. But if we sing a song And we all sing along, Isn't that as sweet as it can be? A la lala lala la la Here we are together, flying free; A la lala lala la la Singing songs together, you and me.

My Dreams Don’t Have To Be Just My Size by Dan Goldensohn Art by Wes
MY DREAMS DON'T HAVE TO BE JUST MY SIZE Words and Music, Dan Goldensohn, 2023 Can we dream of a better world for us kids?
My dreams don't have to be just my size They can be little ones or otherwise They can be familiar ones or a surprise And like the morning sun, they can rise, rise , rise, rise Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Maybe at night on a silvery moonbeam Or in the daytime on a golden-y sunbeam Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams
Dreaming some dreams to treat people right Dreaming to find ways to not fight To let our little lights keep on shining so bright Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Dreaming some dreams for peace everywhere Dreaming for lots more love we could share And for people who suffer to get more care Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams
Dreaming some dreams for having some fun... some fun! And for having no hatred for anyone For kindness and fairness for everyone Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Maybe at night on a silvery moonbeam Or in the daytime on a golden-y sunbeam Rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams Oh, rise on up, all you beautiful dreams
First Grade A-B-C with My Friends and Me by Dan Goldensohn Art by Jordyn
A-B-C WITH MY FRIENDS AND ME Words and Music, Dan Goldensohn, 2023 Sometimes you just sing a song to yourself or to your stuffed animal friend, and you think: “Let’s teach this song to everyone!”
We're singing "A-B-C-D-E-F-G"! It would be so cool in history If all the little fishies in the deep blue SEA Would sing along with my friends and me! Come on, little fishies! Come on, now! You can do it! We're gonna teach you how! You start at the beginning, singing "A-B-C" Then in the middle, you sing "L-M-NO-P" A little bit later, there's a "T-U-V" And then we're gonna end it with an "X-Y-Z."
So sing along, little fishies! Flap your little tail-ee-ail-ee-ails And invite your friends the great big whale-ee-ail-ee-ails. You'll be just as happy as you could be, When you're singing along with my friends and me! All the singing so happy will wake the bear-zee-air-zee-airs And the foxes and the chipmunks and the hare-zee-air-zee-airs. All the animals and their families Will want to be singing with my friends and me.
Then all the people in the world, every single one-ee-un-ee-un Will be singing all together having funny-funny-fun! Laughing and singing so happily, Just singing along with my friends and me! At the beginning, you sing "A-B-C" Then in the middle, you sing "L-M-NO-P" A little bit later, there's a "T-U-V" And then we're gonna end it with an "X-Y-Z."
Chorus A-B-C and L-M-N-O-P Singing along with my friends and me Let's sing it from our hearts, Let's sing it from our soul, soul, good ol' soul, And come on everybody, let the good times roll! Come on everybody, let the good times roll! Roll roll roly with your heart and soul! And every living creature on the land and sea, Thank you for singing with my friends and me! Singing all together with my friends and me And now we can end it with that X-Y-Z. What a great day in history! Cool!

All aboard! Hahaha Crazy, but that's how it goes Millions of people living as foes Maybe. It's not too late To learn how to love, and forget how to hate Mental wounds not healing Life's a bitter shame I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train I've listened to preachers, I've listened to fools I've watched all the dropouts Who make their own rules One person conditioned to rule and control The media sells it and you live the role
Mental wounds still screaming Driving me insane I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train I know that things are going wrong for me You gotta listen to my words, yeah, yeah Heirs of a cold war That's what we've become Inheriting troubles I'm mentally numb Crazy, I just cannot bear I'm living with something that just isn't fair Mental wounds not healing Who and what's to blame I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
