JEAN TODT FIA PRESIDENT In 2020, the world was hit by an unprecedented health emergency. Regardless of the global crisis that still goes on today, the 2020 WSK karting season has been able to be completed. It started in January with the well-attended WSK Champions Cup and the first two rounds of the WSK Super Master Series. It then went on - when the season resumed a few months later - with the conclusion of the WSK Super Masters Series, the three rounds of the WSK Euro Series and the double appointment of the WSK Open Cup. Particular success was achieved by a totally renewed category 60 MINI, with CIK-FIA homologated chassis, engines and accessories, making a decisive contribution to the arrival of future motorsport stars to the best Italian circuits. In 2020, WSK Promotion reached the milestone of 15 years of activity, consolidating a real supply chain that accompanies the drivers from karting to the threshold of the top of motorsport. It also gives the drivers access to the other two car championships driven by WSK Promotion: the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth, now in its seventh edition, and the Formula Regional European Championship, born in 2019, which offers the opportunity to accumulate points valid for the FIA Super license. I am confident that 2021 will see many great achievements and that we will go further together. Nel 2020 il mondo è stato colpito da un’emergenza sanitaria senza precedenti. Nonostante la crisi globale che continua ancora oggi, la stagione karting WSK 2020 è stata in grado di essere completata. È iniziato a gennaio con la frequentatissima WSK Champions Cup e i primi due round della WSK Super Master Series. Si è poi proseguito quando la stagione è ripresa pochi mesi dopo - con la conclusione della WSK Super Masters Series, i tre round della WSK Euro Series e il doppio appuntamento della WSK Open Cup. Particolare successo è stato ottenuto da una categoria 60 MINI totalmente rinnovata, con telaio, motori e accessori omologati CIK-FIA, che ha contribuito in modo decisivo all’arrivo delle future star del motorsport nei migliori circuiti italiani.

Nel 2020 WSK Promotion ha raggiunto il traguardo dei 15 anni di attività, consolidando una vera e propria filiera che accompagna i piloti dal kart alle soglie dei vertici del motorsport. Dà inoltre ai piloti l’accesso agli altri due campionati automobilistici guidati da WSK Promotion: l’Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth, giunto alla settima edizione, e il Formula Regional European Championship, nato nel 2019, che offre la possibilità di accumulare punti validi per la licenza FIA Super.
