Estetik LTD brings a new treatment to Ireland - Machine pedicure. This special German technology is used to remove hard skin from toes, heels, soles and feet, treat cracked heels and callouses as well as address other foot problems such as thickened nails, ingrown toe-nails and deformed nails. The owner, Irina Ivanova Colwell, opened her clinic over a year ago in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, after completing a course in Russia, where she trained alongside leading practitioners in the country. Her interest in this treatment started after she visited one of the clinics while on holidays in Russia. The procedure was so painless and her feet felt so smooth and baby-like. Indeed, machine pedicure combined with therapist’s dedicated hands provides a unique treatment which is minimally traumatic and ensures excellent results. There is no risk of infection as all equipment is thoroughly sterilized before use. Since her opening Irina has been able to help a lot of customers whose feet need a little bit more attention rather than just cosmetic treatment. And there are many of those customers –as the word about Irina’s clinic spreads around the county, more and more satisfied men and woman alongside getting their feet pedicured can get help and relief with ingrown toenails, callouses and other unsightly and uncomfortable problems. Equipment and materials in Irina’s clinic are supplied by German companies “Baehr” and Busch. “Baehr” is a leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment, materials, cosmetic and therapeutic products worldwide since 1950, while Busch produces high-end rotary instrument for over 100 years. Estetik is Baehr and Busch’s only official distributor in Ireland and she has
been authorized by these two companies to train practitioners in this country. Estetik LTD offers a machine pedicure course designed for beauticians, who want to extend and enhance their practice and offer their customers more advanced foot care solutions alongside normal cosmetic procedures. The participants can learn how to use innovative “Baehr” and “Busch” equipment and materials in order to remove dry calloused skin, treat ingrown toenails in a non-surgical way, carry out nail reconstructing procedures and address other foot problems. All procedures are demonstrated in the working clinic and the participants have a chance to carry out procedures on models selected to represent a range of problems and challenges. A special emphasis is placed on hygienic aspects of machine pedicure: materials and methods for disinfection of surfaces and equipment as well as personal hygiene. On successful completion of the course, all participants are issued with a “Baher-authorised certificate”. Their further needs related to practicing machine pedicure can be looked after by Estetik LTD who distributes a full range of “Baehr” and “Busch” products in Ireland. Estetik has already trained practitioners and supplied equipment for two clinics in Co. Clare and Co. Kildare.
