Dear Reader This is the last edition of the magazine this year. Perhaps this time, it’s a little bit sad because we’ve got to say goodbye to "Sleeping Beauty": our renovation work is completed and we’ve sold the house. Being able to bring this wonderful house back to life has been a fantastic adventure and our hearts will always remain close to this magical place. Luckily, the new owners are nice, young people who want to maintain the spirit of the house and keep the style that we’ve introduced. That’s what we like to hear. A place like this one is meant to be lived in and now it’ll be part of creating wonderful memories for a wonderful family – and not just as a photo studio. We’ve decorated the house for Christmas and we’re showing you the Christmas pictures – and the pictures of the last room, the guest bedroom – in this edition. What a beautiful way to end this project and the year…A new year also promises lots of new ideas and projects. You’ll see several changes to the magazine next year as we return to the original style that we started out with: the more natural and rustic French/Nordic country style with a hint of romance, but also a simpler style than what we’ve presented over the past few years. In 2018, we’ll introduce you to more series such as “the menu of the season” which includes tasty menus and a nicely laid table with flowers and other decoration items as inspiration for the parties and feasts of the season. In addition, we’ve been working on setting up the most amazing, aesthetic kitchen garden that you’ll be able to follow throughout most of the year as of the second edition 2018. There’s so much to look forward to! Still, right now it’s all about the December edition and Christmas coming up soon. As always, this edition is full of inspiration for decorations and DIY Christmas decoration items, accompanied by some fantastic Christmas homes. We wish you lots of fun reading, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Carolien's Heaven

Carolien has been living with her family in this cozy house for almost 35 years. She’s loved Christmas ever since she was a child because there’s something almost magical about this time of the year: it’s cozy and warm inside, and the house is nicely decorated. Carolien has always collected old Christmas decoration items and she adores all of them. Instead of storing the old, beautiful Christmas decoration items, Carolien uses them to adorn the house in boxes: here, it’s a selection of old top spires that’s placed in an old box. 7

Carolien's Heaven

A whole little Christmas scenario takes place in the old glass dome where a couple of nice, old Christmas men are watching over the beautiful, old Christmas tree. True, you don’t always need lots of items to create a warm and cozy Christmas spirit. Candles work wonders. A nice collection of lambs in various sizes is exhibited on top of a cupboard in the living room. On an upholstered bench, a few paper Christmas bells are being used as adornments. Nothing brings back memories like a wonderfully decorated Christmas tree: Carolien has adorned 8
