Dear Reader
In this second edition of the magazine 2018, we are presenting no less than two big themes. Easter, the festive season of spring, is coming up and obviously, as always, we want to offer you lots of inspiration for DIY Easter decoration items. There are projects for all creative souls, including both simple and more advanced ideas. There is something for every budget and every taste. You can use our French-inspired guest menu for your Easter parties as well: many of us have a few extra days off so why not invite people over for a nice get-together? The second theme is all about bathrooms: here, you will find lots of good ideas on how to give your bathroom a nice make-over. Perhaps you'd like to invest some of your extra days off changing a few things in your home? Here, at the editorial office, spring always inspires us to do some proper spring tidying and cleaning, and to move things round. Why don’t you paint a wall? We're very pleased to be able to show you a new and amazingly easy technique that you can use to create the most fantastic rustic walls; find out more in the article “Basic colours”. A small spring plant or a budget bouquet made with bundles of flowers also add new energy and a hint of spring atmosphere. You'll find plenty of inspiration for all of it in this edition of the magazine. Enjoy!

RUSTIC SOULS
6
BASICALLY, ANNE AND IVO ARE A PAIR OF RUSTIC SOULS – BUT WITH A TWIST. THEIR HOME IS FULL OF WONDERFUL, RUSTIC, AUTHENTIC PIECES OF FURNITURE AND INTERIOR DETAILS. SUCH THINGS MAKE UP THE SHARED PASSION OF THIS COUPLE AND OVER THE YEARS THEY’VE MANAGED TO TURN THEIR PASSION INTO THEIR PROFESSION. THEY LIKE BOTH THE RUSTIC AND THE FINE STYLE, AND YOU CAN CERTAINLY TELL BY LOOKING AT THEIR BEAUTIFUL HOME.
IDEA: IF YOU’D LIKE TO COPY THE COUPLE’S IDEAS, IT’S IMPORTANT THAT YOU USE A MIXTURE OF RUSTIC AND FINE ITEMS. AS AN EXAMPLE, YOU CAN EASILY COMBINE A FRENCH, ANTIQUE CHANDELIER WITH LOTS OF PRISMS AND AN OLD INDUSTRIAL LAMP.
7
8
IDEA: A GOOD WAY OF ADDING A RUSTIC TOUCH TO THE INTERIOR DESIGN IS TO SUPPLEMENT WITH SOME OLD, BEAUTIFUL CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS SUCH AS OLD IRON BARS WITH SEVERAL LAYERS OF PAINT, SHUTTERS, WINDOWS, WEATHER COCKS OR PIECES OF FURNITURE WITH THE PERFECT KIND OF WEAR AND TEAR.
9
VERY OFTEN, IT DOESN’T ACTUALLY TAKE MUCH TO ACHIEVE THE RIGHT EXPRESSION BUT YOU NEED LOTS OF PATIENCE WHEN YOU GO FLEA MARKET HUNTING. IN THIS HOUSE, ONLY THE BEST AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ITEMS ARE ALLOWED IN.
IDEA: AN OLD FRIEZE HAS BEEN GIVEN A NEW PURPOSE AS A PRACTICAL AND BEAUTIFUL TRIVET.
