Dear Reader
Another year is coming to an end – and what a year it ’s been with lots of changes and then not really. Our decision to focus on "back to basics" about a year ago has proven to be a good decision – both in terms of the magazine but also with regards to our products. Lots of readers and customers have approached us with positive feedback for which we’d like to thank you. The original Jeanne d´Arc Living style with the combination of the romantic elements with the authentic, rustic country style is becoming increasingly popular and it fits other current trends nicely. It facilitates so many combination options, still creating a personal home. This is also the style that we love the most and it ’s true that we’re better at creating something that we love and are passionate about. That ’s just how it is. Very soon, we’ve been doing this magazine for 10 years. It ’s been a very exciting adventure and we’ll talk more about that in the next edition which’ll also contain a couple of surprises for you. Right now, Christmas is coming up with all its magic, and obviously, we’re offering you lots of inspiration for this season in this, our big Christmas edition. We hope that you’re going to like it and we’d like to wish you a merry Christmas, happy new year and lots of fun reading this edition of the magazine!

GOLDEN CHRISTMAS
Visit a fantastic world of flowers and brocante in this beautiful and rustic store which is almost part of the home for the family who lives here. Very often, Marita and her family spend more time here in the store than in the actual home, just because they feel so comfortable here. Marita became interested in flowers and antiques as a child because her mother ran a flower shop where she had to help out. Her mother also took her along to markets. In 2007, she opened her own webshop and in 2012, her shop in Hummelo was inaugurated – obviously as a combination of flowers and brocante.

GOLDEN CHRISTMAS
This still seems to be a good and unique combination.
During
the
Christmas
season, Marita offers unique and beautiful decorations and wreaths combined with wonderful, old antiques. In the middle of the room, she’s laid an inspiring Christmas table with a tablecloth made of a piece of linen, old chinaware, flatware and nice, old glasses. In the middle of the table is a vine made with eucalyptus and Baby ’s breath, amongst other things. Also, a bit of greenery has been placed on each plate. Above the table is a really marvelous, old angel made of plaster of Paris.
