Dear Readers, For the first time in the history of the magazine, we’ve now published two christmas issues in one year. Because we’re now a monthly magazine, it seems only natural that we feature plenty of christmas content in both the november and December issues. and it really is right up our alley. as you probably already know, we love christmas and all that it entails. so we’re going all out with this December issue! Decorated homes, christmas baking, decorations galore and, of course, lots of ideas for all kinds of Diy christmas ornaments. as always, we focus on reuse and nature’s own materials. in this last issue of the year, we also want to take the opportunity to thank all of our readers for the past year and for all of your support. it is absolutely wonderful to have so many of you share your stories and tell us about the ways that we’ve inspired you. the fact that we love and are passionate about our work is one thing, but it brings us so much joy and makes us so proud of what we do when we receive feedback that you actually use our ideas and get inspired. please don’t hesitate to let us know of any praise, complaints or comments that you may have. merry christmas and happy new year!
Lonnie & Vivian the next issue will be in stores just before new year’s.

Nature’s own materials are the perfect choice
for use in holiday decorations – especially small, blushing lady apples. There’s something really special about them. The apples keep well
and are also suitable for outdoor decorations
because they can tolerate low temperatures. A simple apple wreath on the front door, a basket of decorative greenery and plenty of apples, or
a Christmas tree decorated with apples hanging
from a string welcome holiday guests beautifully.
We’ve decorated our sunroom for Christmas with
lots of red apples combined with plenty of red
vintage items. Read on and be sure to take advantage of all the ideas.
O Christmas Tree...
A traditional Christmas tree has been planted
in a large, old, red canister. The tree is decorated with just plenty of red apples, each
with a piece of black wire run through the stem for hanging.

Decoration with Hyacinths and Lady Apples
Hyacinths are very affordable throughout the winter months and don’t require much care. Try planting three white hyacinths in an old bread
pan. Place chunks of clay in the pan around the hyacinths for fastening moss and apples. Cover
the clay with white moss and poke the apples down around the hyacinths. Run a halved flower stake into the apple to use as a stem for the clay.
Alternative Christmas Tree
A small evergreen tree is planted in a wonderful zinc pot with apples around the rim. Measure a
thin piece of fencing wire to the diameter of
the pot and deduct an inch or two to make it fit inside the rim. Thread the apples on the wire and finish by fixing the ends inside an apple.
