Cannes: Nicolas Cage, Jack Huston to Star in 'The Trust' Nicolas Cage and Jack Huston will star in The Trust, a crime thriller to be directed by music video directors Alex and Ben Brewer. The Highland Film Group (HFG) film centers on two bad cops who discover a strangely hidden and guarded safe filled with mysterious contents. The duo's desire for the possessions of the safe throws them into a deadly well of corruption leaving them fighting for their lives and questioning their every move. Ben Brewer and Adam Hirsch are co-writing the script. Molly Hassell and Braxton Pope are producing while Mike Nilon will executive produce. The Trust is a Hassell Free Production in association with Electric Shadow Fund, which is providing financing. “Electric Shadow is excited to be investing in The Trust, the latest film from producer Molly Hassell. Cage was most recently seen in David Gordon Green's Joe and thriller Frozen Ground. He's repped by CAA, Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment and Bloom Hergott. Huston, who starred on Boardwalk Empire, was most recently seen in American Hustle and Kill Your Darlings. He's represented by UTA.
