PRETTYBIRD's Kerstin Emhoff Named Chair of 2015 AICP Show Kerstin Emhoff, co-founder/executive producer of PRETTYBIRD, will serve as chairperson of the 2015 AICP Show: The Art & Technique of the American Commercial. As part of her AICP Show Chair duties, Emhoff will preside over AICP Week, which includes the AICP Next Awards, as well as various educational sessions at the AICP Week Base Camp. AICP Week will take place in New York from June 2-4, 2015. “I am very honored to serve as chairperson of the Show and Week. We have a really amazing Show Committee, so look out for some inspired events during the week.” noted Emhoff. “This Show, the Next awards and all the events that support them are unique in that they honor and inspire both the craft and creativity of all forms of advertising content.” “We are very excited that Kerstin will be chairing the 24th installment of the AICP Show,” said Matt Miller, president/CEO of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers. “She has given quite a lot to the production industry through the years with her service to AICP Boards and Committees, and will be a great asset to the AICP Show and AICP Week.” Emhoff founded PRETTYBIRD in 2007 with award-winning director Paul Hunter. Since its inception, PRETTYBIRD has established itself as one of the premiere content providers and developers not only in advertising and music videos, but also in documentaries, live installations, fashion shows, interactive shorts, and now feature films. PRETTYBIRD has offices in London and Los Angeles. As AICP Show chair, Emhoff oversees the AICP Show Committee, which is responsible for promoting and marketing the AICP Show, and facilitating the judging process and selection of judges (the AICP Digital Chapter works with the AICP Show Committee to select the judges for the Visual Effects, Animation and Design categories). She will also spearhead the selection of companies providing editorial, graphics and music to the AICP Show reel. Emhoff additionally serves on the AICP Show’s Board of Governors, which is the final arbiter of the AICP Show, charged with ensuring the quality of the Show and adherence to its rules. Awards, as well as educational seminars and events highlighting creativity and marketing. These sessions are held at the AICP Week Base Camp venue in New York’s Soho neighborhood. The AICP Show was established in 1992. Each year, the best advertising appearing in the moving image is honored and made part of the archive of the Department of Film at MoMA. The AICP Next Awards, launched in 2007, highlights the winners of the eight Next categories, which honor innovative marketing communications. The AICP Next Awards are also archived at MoMA. The AICP Next Awards will debut on June 2 at New York University’s Skirball Theater, and the AICP Show premieres during a screening and gala at The Museum of Modern Art in New York on June 4.
