2020 Virtual Prevent Cancer Dialogue Webcast Series

The 2020 Prevent Cancer Dialogue was held as a three-part virtual webcast series that took place on June 17, June 24 and July 1, 2020. Each webcast included engaging presentations as part of moderated panels, Q&A with panelists, facilitated peer-topeer conversations on trending topics and informative poster presentations.

Part 1: Cervical cancer and HPV

Speakers covered a range of topics including the potential for at-home screening for cervical cancer and how social media has affected communication about HPV vaccination.

Part 2: Innovative technologies to expand cancer screening

This segment highlighted exciting new technologies that could be used in medically underserved areas to screen for breast cancer, oral and oropharyngeal cancers, and cervical cancer.

Part 3: Challenges and opportunities for cancer prevention and screening in Indian Country

Speakers discussed the impact of the Affordable Care Act on Indian Country and how to connect with the community through educational outreach and initiatives.

While the in-person event typically accommodates a few hundred people, our first-ever Virtual Dialogue had more than 2,000 attendees from around the world. People tuned in from 48 states, as well as Belize, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, Guam, India, Myanmar, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, and United Arab Emirates.
