Pieces of a puzzle

Fixing an engine is the bread and butter of any mechanics dayto-day. A customer rolls in, car sputtering away, and there’s no telling what lies beneath the hood. Could it be a dreaded blown gasket? Or perhaps a petty oil leak? Maybe it’s a whole collection of issues that leave you, the mechanic, scratching your head about how you’ll ever fix it all by knock-off.

There is, however, great satisfaction to be derived from pulling apart all the innards, finding the root of a problem and putting it all back together again. All the while, the customer comes and goes as if you haven’t been tinkering away for hours like a mechanical surgeon.

It’s no shock that an organism essential to the health of a car should experience plenty of changes as the years go by.
