Thank you to all of our customers for their support over the last thirteen years.
The sale will at the farm this year, in our heated shop. You will be able to view the bull the day of sale. If you would like to view before sale date, you are always welcome to stop by the farm and look at the bulls from now.
2022 was a very good for us. Lots of grass and lots of high quality feed was put up for the winter. Our Charolais cross calves from our commercial herd top the market again in the fall of 2022. Our bull sale will consist of white and tan yearling bulls.
Everest and Northern Star bulls are still on offer if you are looking for a low birthweight and calving ease Charolais bull.
If you are looking for a performance Charolais bull, we have bulls sired by Elder’s Blackjack and Reese Lancaster. And if you are looking for a bull for heifers, a bull sired by HTA Smackdown would be great for your heifer pen.
Eureka Valley Charolais will be a guest consigner at the sale again this year.
The sale will also be hosted by www.DLMS.ca, so if you can’t make to the farm on sale day, you can bid on-line. The sale is Friday, March 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the farm in Didsbury.

FROM DIDSBURY: Go 5 miles west on Highway 582 to Range Road 24, then turn right go 1 mile north to Township Road 314, and then turn right and ¾ of mile east. The shop where the sale will be held is on the north side of the road.
Sale Discounts:
Discount: $100.00 for buyers that pick up their bulls at the farm before March 24th.
Discount: $500.00 for volume buyers of 3 bulls or more.
Delivery:
We will deliver your bulls for free within a 300km radius of Didsbury. If you chose to send your bulls back to the farm they must be insured. After May 1st we will charge you $3.00 a day per bull to keep and feed them. We will waiver these charges if you come and pick your bull at the farm before June 1st.
Breeder Guarantee:
All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale.

Welcome to the 2023 final edition of the Reese Cattle Co. Bull Sale. I first want to thank Barry and his family for allowing me to be a part of this special occasion. This partnership/friendship all started back in 2017 when I was looking to start marketing bulls and had no idea how to go about it. A single conversation with Barry and look where we are now this will be my fifth year consigning bulls. The Reese family has been so accommodating to me. Allowing my animals to live at their place while I was attending Olds College. The many late night conversations, and meals provided I felt truly a part of the family and I can truly not thank them enough. I also had the opportunity to purchase some of Barry's cows that he sold this fall, and I will work hard to keep those genetics running for a very long time. This year's bull offering I am very proud of. They have all gained very well and their dispassion is second to none. If you purchase a bull you can go home knowing that they are just like a pet.I have to thank Jenna and her family for giving them a home, and all the hard work they have been putting into them. A little bit different for me this year. I would like all the bulls to be at their new homes by April 15th. After the 15th there will be a 3 dollar a day feed charge. Also free delivery up to 300 kilometres from Wainwright AB.

Terms & Conditions
Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at sale location, immediately after the sale, unless satisfactory arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after the settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerk of the sale before any cattle will be released. All monies are in Canadian funds.
Bidding: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. No bybidding will be permitted. In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.
Announcements: All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to any such announcements.
Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made unless stated that there is no paper.
Breeder’s Guarantee: Should any bull fourteen months of age and over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeds, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached the age of fourteen months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. If multiple bulls are used in common pasture, no further guarantee than the semen test will apply. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
Exception Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.
Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for the account of the buyer. No incident expenses such as feed, care, interest, veterinary charges, etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal to be a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the buyer at his expense. Should the seller fail to prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement, F.O.B. ranch or location of origin. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the sales manager will appoint a mediator.
Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers, neither the sales manager, auctioneer or consignors assume responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.
