On behalf of the Gelbvieh Association of Alberta & BC, welcome to the 2017 Wish List Weekend and the 2017 Gelbvieh Wish List Sale. The weekend is a great place to catch up on old friends, make new ones, have some laughs, showcase your Gelbvieh program….and…. buy some super Gelbvieh genetics!

The weekend will kick off with a Christmas banquet. A prime rib supper is being served by the same caterer’s as last year, which was fabulous. Silent and live auctions are planned and this alone can be quite entertaining. The entertainment will be“The Travelling Mabels”, an all-female trio comprised of mother-daughter duo Sue and Eva and friend Lana, who are about as Albertan as you would expect. Get your tickets early as this event is likely to sell out.

Saturday is a busy day with Gelbvieh events. Along with the meeting and jack pot events, there will be displays set up for those who wish to highlight their programs. Many prospective buyers are unable to make all the bull sales in the spring and this is a great way to showcase those “great” ones that are up and coming…or to highlight a sire or female that you are using in your program. Invite friends and customers to come out to enjoy the free lunch and jack pot shows for the Wish List afternoon and help spread the “Good News” of the Gelbvieh breed.

The Donation Heifer this year is graciously donated by BNH Livestock, Brad and Nicole Hollman. They are offering the winner a choice between two great females that are highlighted in this catalog. Contact Nicole for details on being part of this auction raffle.

The Wish List Sale wraps up the event with some fantastic offerings of Gelbvieh cattle. Check out this catalog and please contact the consignors if you have any questions. After calving Reba will be ready to start flushing. She will not be going back into natural production again. With whoever the new partner is on Reba we will be doing alternating flushes on exclusive bulls or shared flushes on agreed upon sires.

Flush facilities are to be determined after the sale with the new partner. Delivery to embryo facilities in Western Canada will be provided by Twisted T at no extra charge.

Outside of Western Canada delivery will be at a shared cost.When in embryo facilities board costs will be shared. Semen will be at new owners expense unless it is a shared flush.

The Spice Up has been a farm favorite since birth.

Maybe it was her impressive growth and natural depth of body. Or perhaps it was her quiet, easy going disposition. GUARANTEE: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold.
