Our Founding Mission Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, an independent Catholic lower and middle school for boys, is committed to academic excellence within the context of a faith-based community.
Our mission is to develop young men with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical. Our philosophy is rooted in the 200-year tradition of the Society of the Sacred Heart, which educates children to become leaders of a just society by adhering to the following five goals: • • • • •

PILLAR 1
To excel in teaching and learning, PASH will:
Ensure all PASH students are inspired by the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria and carry with them an awareness of their strengths and abilities to contribute to their communities and the world in positive ways. Enhance academic and non-academic programs to ensure all PASH students graduate equipped with superior competencies to thrive in their next educational setting and beyond. Ensure all PASH students develop the social and emotional maturity to navigate life’s successes and challenges. Ensure PASH faculty and staff are made up of diverse, highly qualified teachers who are personally committed to educating and mentoring today’s generation of boys in the Sacred Heart tradition. Ensure all PASH facilities reflect the quality and diversity of its programs, goals of its mission, and are engineered for the development of boys. Continuously improve PASH’s current standards and best practices in the education of K-8 boys.
Identity and Loyalty In 2021, Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart is known and valued for inspiring and equipping boys as lifelong learners and enlightened men. To build brand identity and loyalty, PASH will: Implement a brand management program to articulate, build value and awareness of Princeton Academy’s Learning Principles for Boys and the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria. Increase the engagement of prospective families in experiencing the benefits of Princeton Academy’s Learning Principles for Boys. Build partnerships and alliances with local businesses, nonprofits, educators, other faith-based organizations and research institutions that meet needs and add value to the community while advancing its educational approach. Develop opportunities for lifetime connections with members and friends of the Princeton Academy community; past, present and future.

Thought Leadership In 2021, Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart’s approach to K-8 boys’ education is nationally known and emulated.

To lead the field, PASH will:
A. Establish Princeton Academy’s Learning Principles for Boys as the national standard of best practices in the education of K-8 boys. B. Facilitate research, educational innovation and collaboration in the field of K-8 boys’ growth and development. C. Demonstrate the lifetime impact of a Princeton Academy education. D. Establish an institute for boys’ leadership consistent with the Sacred Heart mission. E. Expand accessibility to PASH’s faculty expertise and learning principles through local, national and global presentation and collaboration.
Strategic Growth In 2021, Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart is optimizing resources and assets to advance strategic growth. To achieve strategic growth, PASH will: Ensure PASH faculty and staff are competitively compensated. Achieve optimal enrollment through the funding and implementation of a multi-year targeted enrollment management plan to attract and retain diverse students and families. Cultivate a culture of philanthropy. Adjust and expand fundraising strategies to include major gifts, planned giving, endowment, grants and strategic plan funding. Explore and implement promising diversified educational services and other non-tuition revenue streams. Develop, communicate and implement a plan to increase the financial accessibility of the Princeton Academy experience. Maximize the potential of facilities in non-traditional, innovative and sustainable ways.
