SummerQuest memories last a lifetime. Whether one session or the entire summer, give your child a summer to remember!

Kitchen Science

Firefly Tennis and Swimming Session I June 22 - July 8 In this session, science meets cooking! Students will conduct science experiments based on recipes. Ever wonder why mold grows on food or what makes bread rise? Students will gain practical knowledge about different states of matter by studying kitchen liquids and solids in recipes, and learn how altering temperatures can affect their desired outcomes.

Session includes weekly swimming instruction at the Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center. Three afternoons per week, children will learn basic tennis skills with Firefly Tennis.

Architecture

Tae Kwon Do and Swimming Session J July 11 - 22 Children are fascinated with buildings and how they’re designed and constructed. In this session, students will learn all about architecture from the ground up. They’ll learn about all different kinds of buildings from around the world, plan their own buildings, create models, and get to meet a real architect. They’ll also use their expertise to design the ideal playground!

Session includes weekly swimming instruction at the Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center. Three afternoons per week, children will learn the fundamentals of Tae Kwon Do taught by Princeton Martial Arts Center.

Outdoor Literacy and Exploration

Lawn Sports and Swimming Session K July 25 - Aug 5 Students will experience the basics of outdoor literacy by learning to read a topographical map, using a compass, identifying edible wild plants, and creating a first aid kit to treat poison ivy, sunburn and insect bites. They will also learn to “read” thew woods for signs of birds, amphibians, and mammals while hiking on the school grounds and visiting local nature centers.

Session includes weekly swimming instruction at the Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center. Three afternoons per week, children will learn the fundamentals of lawn sports (badminton, croquet, etc.).

Calling all Insect Tourists & Performers!

Classic Outdoor Games and Swimming Session L August 8 - 18 Come and learn about the wonder and diversity of insects through the eyes of an artist! Students will submerse themselves into the natural world learning all about insects and their social structures. How do insects work together to complete complex tasks? Why do insects undergo a physical transformation? While gaining practical knowledge, students will work to make posters, masks and artistic props all to be used in a culminating performance, led by our very own Mr. Mitnick! Artistic expression takes center stage with song-writing, choreography and performance! Session includes weekly swimming instruction at the Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center. Three afternoons per week, children will enjoy classic outdoor games such as kickball, soccer, and basketball.
