Municipality of Poznań Building
The town hall remains the most important building in the Old Market Square. It was once the place where municipal matters were heard and misdemeanours were adjudicated. Today it compels attention as one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in Europe. The Town hall goats - a mechanism installed above a clock in the 16th century, which have since become the symbol of the city - clash heads every day at noon, a battle watched by the tourists who amass and listen to the fanfare sounded from the Town Hall tower.
