MAPPING THE INTANGIBLE Smell mapping at Sindhi Market, Ahmedabad This exercise involved the selection of particular area in Ahmedabad, selected by us students to be analysed and mapped. The selected area is Sidhi market area and the site was studied and documented as well as the production of a hand rendered map was done in order to understand the market through the study of the processes that were taking place. Later groups of three students each started processing the information of sound, texture and smells which were observed in the site. Taking into consideration the individual aspects contributing to the whole sense of the resultant sounds, textures and smells were mapped and presented using 2d and 3d techniques of analysis and mapping of its key attribute.
