WHILE ELEGANCE AND sophistication are often associated with the upscale communities of New York and Beverly Hills, they also feel inaccessible to the average consumer. The high-class boutiques found on Rodeo Drive might be far away, but the glamour and services associated with them are not. Downtown Beauty Bar is the product of entrepreneur Camille Meyer. Much like the business she’s recently established, Meyer is herself a recent addition to the Downriver community, after spending a considerable amount of time in New York. “I wanted to take all my favorite things from New York City and combine them into
one.” Meyer explains, “I owned a medical spa for 16 years, so this isn’t my first rodeo.” While the concept of having a day at the spa to rejuvenate, replenish and beautify isn’t a new concept by any means–Downtown Beauty Bar offers everything you could ask for at a price that’s affordable.
