Facilities

During times of rapid growth, one of the first areas to be impacted is the organizational facilities. Whether considering a school over capacity or not enough program facilities to meet the growing needs of student involvement, facilities are a focal point that must be assessed. Prosper ISD is committed to providing high quality learning facilities for our students and staff while also developing a solid plan for creating equity and efficiency in regards to programs and facility use in a time of rapid growth.

Current & Future Campuses

Average Campus Capacity: Elementary - 750; Middle School - 1,100; and High School - 2,800

2022 Current District Campuses: Elementary - 15, Middle School - 4, and High School - 2

5 year additional campuses needed: Elementary - 8 or 9, Middle School - 2 or 3, and High School - 1

10 year additional campuses needed: Elementary - 14 or 15; Middle School - 5 or 6; and High School - 3

Prosper ISD encompasses 57.75 sq. miles

Prosper ISD encompasses 57.75 square miles and is made up of 6 different municipalities: Town of Prosper, City of McKinney, City of Frisco, City of Celina, Collin County, and Denton County. As we continue to grow so will the need for additional schools. At build-out, Prosper ISD will have approximately 45,000- 50,000 students and will be served by 22-27 elementary schools, 10-12 middle schools, and 5-6 high schools.

Rate of Growth

Prosper ISD added 2,947 students from the end of the 2020- 2021 School Year to the end of the 2021- 2022 School Year for a growth rate of 14.96%.
