For the wire and cable assembly, SPICA disposes of a wide range of production techniques and machinery. • Semi- and full automatic cutting, stripping and crimping combined with automatic control of critical process parameters • Tools and machinery provided with a wide set of wire and cable contacts • Manual and automatic soldering Its high flexibility enables SPICA to respond beyond expectations to all customer specific requirements. Inductive components During many years, SPICA invested in the development and manufacturing of inductive components. Each choke or transformer designed and manufactured by SPICA is tailor-made. The design of the inductive component is based on the technical and functional requirements of the final assembly.
For the manufacturing of its coils and transformers, SPICA relies on its semi- and full automatic winding machines, as well as for smaller PCB mountable components as for the more sized transformers and chokes for industrial applications and power electronics. The inductive components can be produced with copper or aluminium, wire or foil. The inductive components are vacuum impregnated or potted. Power Line Communication (PLC) is a communication technique by which communication runs along the power cables in a pre-defined frequency range. The PLC technique is often used to support the data transfer during development and mass roll-out of the Smart Meters (Electricity & Water). While building this Smart Grid infrastructure, PLC reliability improvements can be realized by implementing the correct filter. In this market, SPICA can offer its own product portfolio. Standard two types of families are available. One is characterized as filtering in a limited frequency range and limited attenuation. The STRIKE family is designed with improved attenuation performance and is effective in the full CENELEC A frequency band. Based on this knowledge and competence, tailor-made solutions can be developed and manufactured based on your requirements.
