“ We all have the power within us for doing good.” – Venerable Mary Potter

“ San Pedro Community Hospital shall rise here… to help the sick and the suffering, that those in weakness may be made strong, those in pain may find relief. …shall rise here to recruit the skill and wisdom of physicians and nurses that they may not only heal but bless and shine as lamps of hope in the darkest hours of distress and fear.” – Reverend Harold Essert, Excerpted from 1959 Groundbreaking Dedication

“Everyone needs to know what a truly great hospital this is!” – Billee Gogian

Vision 2020 San Pedro Enhance. Expand. Endure. For more than 85 years, the community hospital on Seventh Street has dedicated itself to caring for our families, generation after generation. The red brick, metal and glass buildings have proudly weathered the test of time. Now it is our turn to invest in this nationally recognized medical center and invaluable local asset. It is time to add luster to the San Pedro gem, creating a physical environment equal to the excellent and compassionate care inside. As the closest acute-care medical center and emergency department to the Port of Los Angeles, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro cares for its surrounding community population of over 350,000. Its success stems from a strong management team, talented nurses and an engaged physician staff with one of the highest satisfaction rates in the country. The medical center’s future is focused on critically important initiatives, including an emergency department expansion and technological advancements, requiring a $15 million commitment and passionate community support.

“We love this hospital! Both of our mothers experienced excellent and loving care here. We are so fortunate to have this nationally recognized, high-quality treasure right here in San Pedro.” – Leland and Susan Hill Providence Little Company of Mary Foundation Trustees
