COFFEE CONCEPT East Greenwich’s newest coffee shop is a spacious spot to hang out and recharge A joint venture between husband-and-wife Steven and Allie Mignanelli with Sarah Grillo, East Greenwich recently welcomed its newest coffee spot in February: Drip Coffee House. “We have a long history in this industry and shared the same vision of a coffee house concept,” shares Steven, whose family owns two other East Greenwich staples: Richard’s Pub and the Ritrovo Pub. “When the space became available, this was our chance to bring the concept to life.” Now fully realized in a spacious 2,600-square-foot cafe, Drip Coffee boasts an open, inviting atmosphere designed by Michelle Parenteau of Michelle Lee Designs based in Johnston. Steven set out to create a coffee space unlike any other in the coastal town with plenty of seating and a little bit of swank (think leather armchairs) – and not without Ocean State motifs captured in deep blue walls and bar seats, even a blue-painted brick fireplace for added coziness. Whether you’re picking up a cuppa to go or sitting down to enjoy the ambiance, you’ll find only locally roasted coffee at Drip Coffee House, along with plenty of fresh baked goods, including bagels, muffins, donuts, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, assorted sweets, and more. 2725 South County Trail, East Greenwich | By Abbie Lahmers Photo by Grace Lentini, courtesy of Michelle Lee Designs SORhodeIsland.com • March 2022
