RELAUNCHING DIDASKALIA: OUR THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY JOURNAL Didaskalia’s new editorial board has taken the opportunity to reimagine ways of more effectively ministering to and with the local church. In addition to peer-reviewed essays and thoughtful book reviews of recent works, the journal will include interviews with leading practitioners and figures in their field, and exemplary sermons with commentary from leading homileticians. The most recent (Spring 2021) issue focuses on the theme of worship and includes an interview with Canadian songwriters and worship leaders, Steve Bell and Glen Soderholm. BTS SYMPOSIUM: THE CHURCH POST PANDEMIC On October 19th, 2020 the Bible and Theology Department of Providence Seminary invited alumni, area pastors, boards and lay leaders to join a free half-day Zoom forum on the topic The Church Post-Pandemic. With a panel consisting of seminary faculty and three area pastors, the forum held discussions around biblical & theological foundations and best practices for faithful ministry during the pandemic. Some of the session topics included ‘Holding Steady in Turbulent Times,’ ‘Pastoring in the Pandemic & Beyond: Reflection on Ministry’ and ‘Harnessing Difficulty for Discipleship.’ A recording is available on our YouTube channel at YouTube.com/ProvManitoba.
