Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans” and “Sweet Caroline,” an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond’s story was made to shine on Broadway - and head out on the road across America.
Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America’s greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

A THEATRICAL EVENT UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE!
Winner of three Tony Awards® and the Olivier Award for Best Play, the Broadway and West End sensation LIFE OF PI is “an exhilarating evening of theater” (The Wall Street Journal).
Based on the novel that sold more than 15 million copies and became a worldwide phenomenon, LIFE OF PI is an epic story of perseverance and hope that speaks to every generation and “gives new life to Broadway” (The Today Show).
After a shipwreck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a sixteen-year-old boy named Pi survives on a lifeboat with four companions— a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger.
Told with jaw-dropping visuals, world class puppetry and exquisite stagecraft, LIFE OF PI creates a breathtaking journey that will leave you filled with awe and joy.
LIFE OF PI is recommended for ages 10 and up. LIFE OF PI contains some mature content and violence, smoke, haze, flashing lights, strobe lights and loud sounds throughout.
BROADWAY SERIES
Created by the Emmy®-winning writer from “Schitt’s Creek,” this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told. & JULIET asks: what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Get whisked away on a fabulous journey as she ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love—her way.
Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, including “Since U Been Gone‚“ “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life‚“ “That’s The Way It Is,“ and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”—all from the genius songwriter/ producer behind more #1 hits than any other artist this century. Break free of the balcony scene and get into this romantic comedy that proves there’s life after Romeo. The only thing tragic would be missing it.
APRIL 22–27, 2025
Winner of 4 Tony Awards®, including Best Choreography and Best Costumes, and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theater Album, SOME LIKE IT HOT is “A Super-Sized, All-Out Song-And-Dance Spectacular!” - The New York Times
Set in Chicago when Prohibition has everyone thirsty for a little excitement, SOME LIKE IT HOT is the “glorious, big, highkicking” (Associated Press) story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels, they catch a cross-country train for the lifechasing, life-changing trip of a lifetime.
And what a trip it is! With its irresistible combination of heart and laughs, song and dance, SOME LIKE IT HOT won more theater awards than any show in its season, and was named Best Musical by the Drama Desk, The Drama League, and the Outer Critics Circle. No wonder Deadline calls it “a tap-dancing, razzle-dazzling embrace of everything you love about musical theater.”

Great Scott! BACK TO THE FUTURE, the beloved, cinematic classic is now a Broadway musical with its destination set for Providence in 2025.
Winner of the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, four WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best New Musical, and the Broadway World Award for Best New Musical, BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical is adapted for the stage by the iconic film’s creators Bob Gale (Back to the Future trilogy) and Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump) and directed by the Tony Award®winner John Rando with original music by multi-Grammy® winners Alan Silvestri (Avengers: Endgame) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror”), alongside hit songs from the movie including “The Power of Love,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Earth Angel,” and “Back in Time.”
When Marty McFly finds himself transported back to 1955 in a time machine built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, he accidentally changes the course of history. Now he’s in a race against time to fix the present, escape the past, and send himself... back to the future. When BACK TO THE FUTURE hits 88mph, it’ll change musical theatre history forever.
PPAC’S LOOKS FUTURE BRIGHT!
The Providence Performing Arts Center is known as a destination theatre for national tour launches. In the fall of 2024, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL and SHUCKED mark the twenty-third and twenty-fourth national tours to launch at PPAC since 2008!
Since its opening in 1928, the Loew’s Theatre Building (the historic home of PPAC) has transformed and evolved. Over the course of nine decades, it has been called the Loew’s State Theatre, Loew’s Theatre, Palace Concert Theatre, Ocean State Theatre, the Ocean State Performing Arts Center, and since 1982, the Providence Performing Arts Center. Each name represents a different, intriguing chapter in the venue’s storied history; we encourage you to visit ppacri.org/history to learn more!
PPAC has become one of the most successful, not-forprofit theatres in the United States, thanks to the efforts of past and current board members and administrative staff. We celebrate PPAC’s rich history by investing in building restoration projects so that the theatre’s grandeur will continue to shine for future audiences. PPAC has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten entertainment venues of its size in the United States by industry publications, Pollstar, Billboard Magazine and VenuesNow
Recent upgrades have included a complete renovation of our Lobby Lounge, adding a modern elegance to the space. Last year, we installed railings on the mezzanine levels of the House so that patrons can arrive and egress their seats with added support. Public Wi-Fi
has been installed throughout the building. The ceiling above our rear orchestra seating, with its gold, red and blue detailing, is looking brighter and more vibrant, thanks to a completed painting restoration project. We added new stage lighting and an updated sound and video display system throughout the Theatre.
Our vertical marquee, which features the iconic “PROVIDENCE” lettering, is also looking brighter. During the summer of 2023, the letters were removed from the marquee and were repainted. Daktronics also installed new boards for our main digital marquee and digital shadow boxes.
