“I had friends and family who were getting into the house flipping business, after helping out a few times I was hooked and wanted to learn everything I could about every aspect of real estate” she recalls. “Between my interests in design and investment opportunities and my desire to stay in an industry that puts my people skills to work, I got hooked rather quickly! I started real estate school and never looked back.”

“I was very fortunate. Prior to getting into real estate, I was a stylist for 25 years. While it has nothing to do with realty, it has everything to do with getting to know people and forming relationships with them,” she says. “So, I cultivated a large presence in the community along with my sphere of people and as soon as I got my license, my career took o .”

In fact, she averages year after year the top percent in her o ce, while also taking classes to further her education in the industry and scouting for investment properties. To this end, Tracy also co-owns Russo Acquisitions with three other business partners; together they flip and build homes, along with owning multiple rental properties.

Away from work, Tracy treasures time with her family, including her husband, Mike, and her two daughters. Sunday dinners with friends, family, and football are among her favorite pastimes, as is giving back to her community.

“One of the most vital parts to having a successful real estate career is having a big network of people who trust you,” she explains. “You can earn that trust by being kind, going above and beyond, and working hard.”

Tracy also admits that, more than just earning trust, you should treat your clients as if they are your family. There’s a closeness that evolves between people who share the journey from beginning contracts to the closing table, and to Tracy, that’s the biggest thing.
