FAMILY

HOUSE

ANNOTATION The goal of this project was to design a family house with a separate function of architectural office. The design of this house is highly determined by the specific shape of the plot – it’s oblong, a little bit sloping and surrounded by a wall. The house reacts to this with its move along the plot, it’s “crawling” from the entrance to the private part of the plot. The house is expressly horizontal, two-storeys and with clear shape. In the first floor is situated the architectural office and garage with storeroom and in the second floor is the main living area and bedrooms. Ground floor is design to look like a massive foundation for the upper shape. This shape has horizontal wood decking and is cut by windows along all its length.
