ZER0 WASTE CUP

AS P A 2018 RT OF RW TRIA , EUN OMI M LLIN A IS FIRS GT REF T EVER HE NEC UND ’S DE REU SCHEM POSIT SAB LE C E WITH UPS !

Under Eunomia’s Zero Waste Cup scheme, any attendees of the conference who forget to bring their own reusable cup will still be able to benefit from discounted hot drinks all through the event. Whether it’s your own personal cup or one from Eunomia’s scheme, all NEC coffee shops will be offering a 25p discount on drinks ordered in a reusable cup, thanks to support from Amadeus, the centre’s catering partner. To obtain a Eunomia Zero Waste cup, delegates will pay a small deposit. When they no longer want the cup – if they’re leaving the conference, or just want their hands free – they can return the cup and reclaim the deposit. Or if they prefer, they can just keep the cup and keep on preventing waste every time they stop for coffee! The cups for Eunomia’s Zero Waste Cup scheme have kindly been provided by Bockatech in partnership with polymer producer Borealis. They can be made from recycled Polypropylene and use Bockatech’s innovative new EcoCore™ technology. This reduces the material and energy needed to create insulated super-rigid reusable food packaging — substantially cutting both cost and environmental impact. Eunomia has been at the forefront of work on deposit & refund schemes across the UK, Europe and North America since the company formed in 2001. Come and say hello to the Eunomia team at stand 4F30-H33 in Hall 4 during the conference to pick up or return a cup and to learn more about how deposit and refund scheme really works (and sometimes doesn’t) from our experience around the world – or to chat about the Circular Economy Package, EPR or anything else from the world of waste and resources! If you have any questions about the ‘Eunomia Zero Waste Cup’ scheme please contact Jade Kelly on jade.kelly@eunomia.co.uk

SIMULATOR

SPONSORED BY

As well as acting as an educational platform and the perfect space for buying and selling within the industry, RWM 2018 returns with a strong focus on making the visiting experience as interactive as possible. And as a key part of the added interactivity this year, attendees will have the incredible opportunity to try out the next best thing to operating an actual digger or dozer - UK Plant Operators’ innovative machine simulator. Developed by Tenstar Simulations, the system offers an ideal training tool by providing users with a real-life experience of working with an excavator, dumper or dozer; with an emphasis on safety and productivity. Featuring an integrated motion platform and designed using genuine machine parts, the simulator has a variety of training scenarios to suit both beginners and experienced operators - so there’s no excuse for not giving it a try! Four industrial-grade and high-definition 55” screens provide real-time simulation, while its powerful Student Management System can be used to both plan training sessions and analyse performance. The simulator allows for users to be accurately assessed on their ability to operate, with a vast menu of functions able to measure hand eye coordination, reaction times and other competencies.
