The PS1 Pluralistic School’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the establishment of The Founders Fund for Educational Pluralism in honor of the school’s founders, Eleanor and Joel Pelcyger.
So many have benefitted from their family’s school experience for over half a century! The Founders Fund gives all an opportunity to express their gratitude to help both the school and the movement that they created, built, and nurtured for lo these many years. The focus of the Fund is twofold: to create a national center for educational pluralism and to further strengthen the school’s Financial Aid program to assure a diverse population in the school which benefits each and every student. Joel retires at the end of this school year after 51 years at the helm—the school and the idea upon which it was built can live on for many generations to come with your help. Pluralism celebrates the uniqueness of each child in working to build one community. The vision remains: CELEBRATE THE MANY; BUILD ONE.
