Senior Manager, PwC Gary is a Senior Manager specialising in pay, benefits and employment taxes working with employers across both the public and private sectors. He has built up more than 25 years experience developing extensive expertise in dealing with HMRC compliance reviews, helping employers establish compliant and cost effective governance of their pay, benefits and expenses. The last 12 months with Local Authorities has been focused on employment status, the CJRS and homeworking policies as well as updating travel and expense policies. He is an experienced negotiator with contacts with HMRC Policy and HM Treasury. Gary works on HMRC consultations such as the off payroll working (IR35) changes, termination payments and expenses helping employers prepare for legislative change.

DAVID CAREY Product Management and Development at Alphabet GB MATT TURNER Account Manager, New Business, LeasePlan Matt Turner joined LeasePlan UK’s New Business team as an Account Manager in 2019, specialising in the onboarding of smaller accounts before being promoted, in November 2021, to focus on larger customers in LeasePlan’s corporate hearland. Prior to this, he worked for five years at Lex Autolease – first as a Business Development Manager, where he was primarily tasked with growing a new business pipeline, and later as a Customer Relationship Manager, overseeing a portfolio of around 40 existing clients. This dual experience gave Matt a solid grounding in the importance of great customer service, as well as insight into how it might be applied in sales. Today, he’s brought that experience to bear in his role as a New Business Account Manager, priding himself on being exceptionally customer-centric while also seeking to add value by guiding customers to make informed decisions.
