This is the official Publication of PSST

As I write this, the year is coming to an end and our planning for 2022 is in full gear. If you have been a member during 2021, thank you for sticking with us while we figured how to overcome the challenges that COVID continues to present us. We have had an incredible year of on-line meetings, demos, challenges, and workshops. We are grateful for the artists that have been part of the journey in 2021 and we hope you will continue to stay with us in 2022.

We have big plans for the upcoming year. And we will continue to adapt as the world keeps changing. Right now, we have a mix of on-line and in-person meetings and demos planned. And we are working to ensure we can record all of them so you can watch them later if you miss them. If you are a member, you can go HERE to watch all demos from 2021.

PSST NEW LOOK Yes, we are working on a new look. We will still be the same society you know and love, but we are re-inventing our image to stay relevant with the times and continue inspiring and engaging artists and aspiring artists. This month Pastel News has a new look, including a new logo, colors, and format. You are now going to receive it in PDF format on your inbox and will be able to access it via issuu and read it in book format. And we will be distributing our Newsletter to anyone that would like to subscribe. If you know someone that would like to receive our newsletter, Pastel News, please ask them to email us at admin@pastelsocietyofsoutheasttexas.org requesting to be added to our distribution list. Our members will receive member’s only communications directly to their emails. Next month we will announce a new website and new functionality. MEMBERSHIP And it’s that time of the year. Please consider renewing your PSST membership as soon as possible to continue being part of our community and enjoying all the benefits we have to offer: members’ only meetings, demos, workshops, monthly challenges, shows, etc. Go HERE to renew. Remember that signing up or renewing your membership is a 2-step process: first fill up the form and submit, then pay your dues with the PayPal button at the bottom of the page.

COLLABORATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS As part of our re-invention, we want to invite you to contact us with innovative ideas for collaborations, including articles, interviews, tips, and news for the Newsletter; or suggestions about what would you like the society to offer as benefits to our members. Please email Adriana Rapolla at admin@pastelsocietyofsoutheasttexas.org 2021 BONUS CHALLENGE As we promised at the beginning of the year, we have spined the wheel one more time with all members that enter challenges during the year, for a bonus prize. And the winner is Cheery Young! Congratulations! She will get a $50 gift certificate to Dakota Pastels.
