When I want to unplug, I take a quick jaunt to Pine Cay. While it’s just a mile wide and under two miles long, it’s 800 acres of untouched natural beauty, with stunning beaches and waters so clear they look unreal. Whether I’m out for a paddle, having a snorkel, or simply sitting back and letting the world drift away, it’s the perfect spot to recharge.

FLAVORS OF THE ISLANDS: MY GO-TO FOR FRESH SEAFOOD

Turks and Caicos has its fair share of upscale dining, but for me, the best meals come with a little sand between your toes. Omar’s Beach Hut in Five Cays serves up some of the freshest seafood from the fisherman’s dock next door. Nothing beats their conch fritters, lobster rolls, and traditional Jamaican Rum Cake.

TURQUOISE DEPTHS: MY FAVORITE SPOTS BENEATH THE SURFACE

If you like to dive, head over to West Caicos for some of the clearest ocean water in Turks and Caicos. This area has jaw-dropping submerged plateaus, and the edges of these plateaus or walls—as they are commonly referred to—typically feature sheer and abrupt depth changes from 30–60 feet (9–18 m) at the top of the wall to great depths below.
