COlOUR CORRECtING
You’ve often heard makeup artists talking about colour correcting, but what is it and why do you need it? Firstly, let’s look at what it is ... essentially, it’s a technique used to help hide discolouration. Do you have dark circles under your eyes, or do you suffer from red blemishes or have veins that stand out unattractively? Perhaps you have bruising that you need to camouflage temporarily. This is when colour correcting comes into its own! How to use it can be a whole other story! You’ll need to work out what base tone your skin usually is - does it have a red or yellow base? If you look at a concealer wheel, you’ll notice that there are very pale tones (almost white), flesh tones, pink, green and yellow tones. Now you’re really confused, right? Don’t be! Here’s the simple formula: Blemishes / rosacea - green counteracts any red tones Pigmentation - yellow will help to neutralise and brighten skin Dark Circles - peach and orange will help to neutralise the blue tones Sallow skin - mauve or pink will counteract this. Colour correction should be done after you’ve moisturised, but before you apply your foundation. Have a play ... but, if in doubt, contact your favourite makeup artist as many will give lessons for a nominal charge.

PAMPERING
Comme des Garçons’ new fragrance, Blackpepper is intoxicatingly warm and mysterious. A compelling blend of earth tones and invigorating spice, it is sophisticated and long lasting; a scent that is hypnotic, addictive and defiantly bold. A rich combination of natural woods and warming black pepper create an olfactory overdose, once again redefining the formal rules of perfumery.
Eau Rose features bergamot, lychee, rose, cedar and musks. Eau Rose is the Queen”of flowers unveiled. Mysterious in the dew, awakened by lychee. Sumptuous in the day, in the marriage of Centifolia and Damask roses. Sensual at dusk, caressed by cedar and honey.
Whether they imitate nature, tease out its innermost secrets or veer off into botanically impossible smells, synthetics are the true building blocks of perfumery. Elegant solutions discovered by scientists, wafting from labs onto skin and into your nose. Nomenclature celebrates design in perfume chemistry by showcasing today’s most inspiring, exclusive molecules—so exclusive that some, known as “captives,” are zealously guarded by fragrance companies. Available in four scents: Orb_ital, Efflor_ esce, Iri_del, Adr_ett.
