“Happy New Year!”
That’s the greeting often heard this time of year. We’ve quickly moved beyond the Christmas celebration and are anticipating a brand new year.
Back in the day we would have taken the old calendar off the kitchen wall and hung a new one. In the digital age, the calendar rolls over without much effort on our part. And yet, a fresh, new year stretches out in front of us. How will we mark the passing of the old and celebrate the new this year? How will we actually make this year something new?
The Bible says...
"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!"
With Jesus we get the opportunity for a fresh start. More than making New Year's resolutions this year, we can be made new with new hope, new vision, and new possibility for the year ahead. Celebrate the new year with Jesus and look forward to a him doing a new thing in you this year!
