As we were traveling in southern Illinois to our niece’s wedding, we noticed some wind farms with the huge windmills dotting the landscape. In the past we’ve seen large trucks on the highway transporting a single blade for one of those windmills. Observing those windmills prompted us to reflect on the potential of harnessing the power of the wind everywhere to supply more of the world’s power needs. There is wind in the Bible. But instead of people capturing its power for ordinary purposes, the wind in the second chapter of Acts drives praying, receptive people towards God’s purposes.
