NewDay Praise Worship - 9:50 a.m.
Worship is… Life
Rev. Elizabeth Gilbert Romans 12:1-13 “Worship” means many things to many people... It might mean being in church on Sunday. It might mean the songs we sing when we gather on Sunday. It might mean sitting quietly and reverently while listening to a sermon. It might mean an emotional response to a moving experience. But New Testament Scripture seems rather indifferent on the place or outward expression of corporate worship. Much more significance is given to the heart and lifestyle of the worshiper. A real worshiper is not determined by what songs they sing in church or what style of gathering they prefer. A real worshiper is determined by how quickly we forgive those who have offended us, how we handle our finances, and what we do when no one is looking. What we do on Sunday is important, but it is just the beginning. It is in the rest of our lives that we live out true worship: giving God grateful, wholehearted love in everything we say and everything we do. What does your worship look like?

Angel Tree Mission | Though December 11
P
UMC shares God’s BIG Love with the children of incarcerated parents each Christmas through the Angel Tree (Prison Ministry) Mission as we provide gifts, cookies, and Bibles for these children. Members of the congregation choose a child from the “Angel Tree” in the main lobby, purchase and wrap the gift. Once returned and sorted, these gifts are delivered to the children on behalf of their incarcerated parent. Be a part of showing God’s BIG Love... Choose a name and buy a gift. In the main lobby in the coming weeks (Nov. 20, 27, and Dec. 4) pick a name off of the Angel tree and purchase a gift using the info on the angel. Wrap and return the item to PUMC by noon December 11. Bake Cookies. Two and one-half dozen homemade cookies are delivered to each Angel Tree home. Deliver cookies to PUMC by 5 p.m., December 16. Volunteer to sort or distribute gifts and cookies Sunday, December 11, 1 p.m. If you have questions please contact Steve Brizendine at angeltree@pumc.org or through the church office. “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15
