AUGUST 12, 2018 NEWDAY PRAISE WORSHIP | 8:45 & 10:00 A.M.

HEART OF WORSHIP

PSALM 150 JACOB TIPANTASIG-WOLVERTON AND PRAISE TEAM MEMBERS

“Playlist” is a term to describe a list of video or audio files that can be played back on a media player sequentially or in random order. In its most general form, an audio playlist is simply a list of songs. But with today’s technology and access to an almost limitless amount of music, playlists have become so much more than just a collection of favorite songs. People have playlists to power their workouts, to create just the right mood for a dinner party, and to fuel their summer road trip. And more than just music to enjoy, the songs we curate on those lists have meaning for us; tell stories we connect to; and express our hopes, dreams, desires, and hearts. Music is also an integral part of our community worship experiences. Music helps us connect with the Spirit of God in ways that almost nothing else can. And at various times in our lives, a particular song will express our deepest need or most heartfelt prayer better than we can say these things with our own words. What song speaks your heart to God right now? What is your life’s song?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

PSALM 150

You are invited to stop by the Encore Desk in the main lobby to check out new adventures for our Encore Senior Ministry group. Continue to get updates on what’s next by reading your weekly worship folders and monthly Circuit Rider.
