What you eat affects your kidneys, so limit foods that can cause them extra strain. Try cutting back on salt. Most of our sodium comes from prepared foods such as canned soup, frozen entrées, processed meats and snack foods. Replace these products with fresh and homemade foods instead. When you cook, flavour your food with seasonings that suit your specific kidney diet such as pepper, onions, garlic, lime, lemon or vinegar. 3. Drink alcohol in moderation. Canada’s low-risk alcohol drinking guidelines recommend no more

Since there are often no warning signs when your kidneys begin to fail, knowing your risk of kidney disease is essential. Your risk is higher if you smoke; are at an unhealthy weight; have diabetes, high blood pressure or heart problems; or are over 65. If you’re concerned, talk with your doctor about your risk factors and how often you should have your kidneys checked. If caught early, kidney disease is manageable. All it takes to find out are some simple blood and urine tests. Find more information at kidney.ca

A discussion of corporate-owned life insurance Businesspersons are motivated by a need to place their fate in their own hands. The desire to make money for is the least of their drives. As such, our life insurance products are adapted to meet needs and desires of the Canadian Businessperson. In the course of running a business, many owners incorporate their business. Corporations issue shares and the shareholders own the business. The shareholders may be hired by the corporation and, as employees; they are paid salaries. In the event of death, shareholders would like to see their shares pass on either to family members or fellow shareholders. The concern is that the family will have sufficient money to maintain their lifestyle. If family members are not able to assume control of the business, a practical solution to this problem is to enter into a buy-sell agreement amongst the other shareholders. As a funding means, corporate-owned insurance is an attractive option.

Taking action to put future plans in motion could meet with some unexpected twists and turns involving other people. They might think you are moving too quickly or haven’t dealt with the details thoroughly enough. What they prefer could be more cautious or conservative. This might require you to reassess your priorities.

Whatever decisions you plan during January need to be viewed as an initial stage, so it would be wise not to attempt implementing them quickly, especially if somebody else is pushing for this. It will not be until mid February to mid March that you will be in a position of clarity and probably because of what goes on before that time.

Something needs to be brought to an end and while that should not be difficult to manage, wanting to do it could be the stumbling block. Clear vision of what the future will mean is difficult but there is an ending, new beginning energy involved. This could also require you to re-evaluate commitments up to early February.

There is a lack of clarity when it comes to others. It would be best that you observe their actions – it could tell you a lot more than what they have to say. Don’t rush into taking on any obligations, especially if you feel sorry for anybody or presume it will help. You need to wait and be asked and then carefully consider your answer.

Other people will prove interesting up to March. This could include coming into contact with people from the past from mid January to early February. They could seem very open with what they have to say or perhaps promise but you could find it will change, mystifying you. It will be from mid February onward it will make sense.

Don’t be too reliant on others when it comes to putting things in place – you will get a lot more done through getting on with these tasks yourself. You could begin to realise during January that daily routines need to be streamlined for complete success with changed structures. Complete clarity will arise from mid February.

This is a good time to present your ideas to somebody else – they could be keener to pay attention to them, even implement them than you anticipate. It won’t hurt to leave more regular routines to one side for the moment. You will enjoy having a break during January and perhaps visiting somewhere that has pleased you before.

Impulsive spending on something that could be useful in daily life can be worthwhile but on anything indulgent is a different matter. Family matters that haven’t been sorted in the past could come up again in January. You should take this seriously and give them thought. Final solutions can be established from mid February.

Social opportunities can come thick and fast this week. More practical things could curb being able to take advantage of them all though, so be sensible, otherwise, you could get over tired. From now to early February, put your mind to any details that need to be cleared up or plans that need to be put in place for this coming year.

Don’t be surprised to find yourself changing your mind or in a situation where you need to, from now to early February. This will concern something personal to you. Don’t expect to gain complete clarity yet – further contemplation could be required up to mid February. Then you can move ahead with certainty through to 10th March.

You will want things in order and could initially feel it is so. However, it would be best to make allowance for unexpected events or circumstances that could come out of nowhere and generate many distractions for you. Financial matters could need closer attention – there might be something you have forgotten to pay or allow for.

Hold yourself back from a serious commitment just because it feels right or seems to be what you have dreamed about. Don’t risk anything financially. There is something you need to contemplate to early February that could lead to re-looking at important priorities in life. You can make clearer decisions from 10th March.

praise from dignitaries, artists and media professionals alike.

Richard Wolfe, former vice-president of technology at 20th Century Fox had high praise for Shen Yun saying, “Unbelievable. The best show I’ve ever seen. The intimate experience of live theatre has been out of reach for the past two years and Shen Yun provides the perfect way to reconnect with the finer pleasures of life. Shen Yun imparts much more than mere spectacle. The music, dance and artistry are vehicles for the spirit. Imparting the essence of China’s great civilization within a two-hour performance requires that the performers become living representatives of its culture. This sincerity is something audiences across the globe have recognized. Shen Yun has garnered
