The one-time funding can be used for capital infrastructure. Council will determine how the to allocate the funding during an upcoming capital planning meeting.

“Council recognizes that there are many ways we could spend this money, but our ambition will be to use them in alignment with our strategic planning,” said Horn.

The City of Mission is grateful to receive this funding.

“We appreciate this bold investment from the province, and the demonstration of faith in the decision-making of local governments,” said Horn.

“We will use these funds wisely, and I believe we might further leverage investments from other sectors and partners.”
