Dallas Cowboys' 2023 Theme Featuring Hari Singh Nalwa: A Source of Pride for Sikh Community"

In a notable move that transcends the boundaries of sports and culture, the Dallas Cowboys, one of the NFL's most iconic franchises, have unveiled their 2023 season theme, "Carpe Omnia" or "Seize Everything." This theme carries special significance for the Sikh community as it prominently features Hari Singh Nalwa, a revered historical figure in Sikh history. This announcement marks a significant step in acknowledging the contributions of Sikhs and promoting diversity within the NFL.

Hari Singh Nalwa, a celebrated military commander of the Sikh Empire during the 19th century, is known for his unwavering courage, leadership, and strategic brilliance on the battlefield. His campaigns

played a pivotal role in expanding the Sikh Empire's territories, particularly in the northwestern regions of India, which encompass present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan. His legacy is not only cherished within the Sikh community but also holds a significant place in Indian history.

The Patrika Auto Review: 2023 Kia Stinger Tribute EditionLast of A Classic!

The 2023 Kia Stinger 4-door coupe looks fantastic, surely one of the bestlooking performance sedans on the road with its long hood, short-deck, and sleek fastback roof. The Stinger

may look like it came out of Italy but was developed at Kia’s design centre in Frankfurt, and road proven at the famous Nürburgring racetrack. So, it is fast! Amazingly fast – the 2019 version with 3.3L V6 engine had a quicker acceleration time than a base Porsche Panamera according to Kia!

Sadly, the Kia Stinger will no longer be produced after 2023 as Kia moves to an EV future. Good news is that 100 copies of the final Tribute Edition will be available in Canada of you have always wanted a Stinger in the driveway. Kia is ending the line by sending our a limited-production

Tribute Edition that is set for only 1,000 vehicles worldwide.

The 2023 Kia Stinger Tribute will only come as a high spec GT model

in Canada with a twin-turbo 3.3L V6, producing 368 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. There will be the eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. Canadian models will arrive in an exclusive Moonscape matte grey paint, black mirrors, Brembo brake calipers, and 19-inch gloss black wheels. The cabin includes Terracotta brown leather upholstery and trim, plus a carbon-fibre type finish on the console and door panels. Special logos will be in the head restraints, and the car’s number in the 1,000-vehicle run will be on a sill plate inside the door. The price will run from an MSRP $51,995 to $56,495.

Sadly, there will be no manual transmission, instead there is an eightspeed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters linked to All Wheel Drive. There are niceties such as Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a 15-speaker HarmanKardon audio system, wireless phone charging, rain-sensing wipers, GPS navigation, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, a heads-up display, and adaptive headlamps.

The interior of the Stinger features a wide roomy, sporty themed cabin. There is neat, detailed look to the

choosing the right ratios with smooth shifts and satisfying rev matching There are driver selectable modes for more performance with Normal as the default mode, while “Sport” mode tightens up the steering from normal and gives more roads feel and feedback on corners. Note: The All-Wheel Drive system is biased to the rear, and the Torque vectoring effect makes for delightfully carving up corners faster with more control. Fuel Economy is up to 11.1 / 8.1 City/Hwy (L/100km) for the base 2.0L. The more powerful V6 engine offers 13.6 / 9.6 City/Hwy

interior design with high quality leather trim accented by metal and satin chrome details. The controls, displays, infotainment and climate controls are all well executed and easy to use. Premium quality material is used throughout. There is decent headroom, legroom, and shoulder room up front. The rear seats can accommodate two adults with some decreased legroom. The rear hatch reveals a generous trunk area.

Safety includes advanced Driver Assist System, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection and emergency automatic braking. There is also: adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, lanekeeping assistance, lane-departure warning, a driver-inattention warning system, and a host of extra equipment.

On the road, the Stinger offers terrific performance. Acceleration is quick and smooth with negative turbo lag, Its sweet engine with lot of power through the middle and top range of the tach. On the highway, the compliant suspension is not overtly harsh and allows for smooth comfortable cruising The eight-speed transmission is well calibrated and adept at

(L/100km).

To sum up its Kai Stinger matches anything in its class with BMW, Audi, and Mercedes performance at thousands of dollars less in price. Wonderful to drive, with an engaging personality, the Stinger easily beats the pricier competition with its plethora of standard features. It is amazing value for money.

Downsides are few, no manual transmission is available- that is about it. A toxically good-looking luxury performance car I for one will be incredibly sad at the Stingers demise.

Kia has assured that it will continue to make performance orientated vehicles such has its GT- Line series and points to the performance all Electric Kia EV6 GT that is as fasts or faster than some Porsche models!

No doubt the “Stinger” name will be resurrected on another performance Kia at some point. Order now as the Stinger is sure to be a sought-after classic when its gone.

WSO COMMENDS PM TRUDEAU FOR CALLING OUT INDIAN INTERFERENCE

The World Sikh Organization of Canada welcomes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s comments to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with respect to foreign interference and respect for the rule of law during G20 meetings in New Delhi, India.

Prime Minister Trudeau said in a press conference that “Diaspora Canadians make up a huge proportion of our country, and they should be able to express themselves and make their choices without interference from any of the many countries that we know are involved in interference challenges.”

Prime Minister Trudeau confirmed that he spoke with Indian PM Modi on the issue of foreign importance and respect for the rule of law, the integrity and sovereignty and democratic institutions and the ability of citizens of a country to choose their future.

India has been identified by the current National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister as a top source of foreign interference in Canada. Sikhs in Canada have long reported alarming foreign interference over the past several decades.

In the Spring of 1987, several Indian diplomats were identified by CSIS as misusing their diplomatic cover to engage in Indian intelligence activities and asked to leave by Canadian authorities.

One of the diplomats identified was Maloy Krishna Dhar, a former Joint Director and a 29-year veteran of the Indian Intelligence Bureau. Dhar was in Ottawa on a diplomatic posting from 1983-87. He writes in his memoir “Open Secrets” that his mission was to “penetrate select Gurdwaras”, create assets in the Sikh community and also to generate “a few friends amongst the Canadian Members of Parliament” (page 293).

In recent years, India has continued to target Canada. The National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians in its special report into Prime Minister Trudeau’s 2018 trip to India noted that:

“strategically released” media articles prior to the Prime Minister’s visit and Indian officials’ repeated raising of concerns around Sikh extremism and separatism, even after multiple efforts by Canadian officials, including the NSIA [National Security and Intelligence Advisor], to refute those claims, fit the pattern that the NSIA now saw emerging: an orchestrated attempt to ‘shine a spotlight’ on Mr. Atwal’s invitation in order to embarrass the Canadian Government.”

In April 2020, a report published by Global News revealed that since 2009, Indian intelligence agencies used an Indian news reporter based in Canada in an attempt to “use money and disinformation to ‘covertly influence Canadian politicians”.

WSO President Tejinder Singh Sidhu said today,

“ We thank and commend Prime Minister Trudeau for raising the issue of foreign interference with India and defending the rights of Canadians to engage in peaceful advocacy and exercise their right to freedom of speech.

India has engaged in espionage and interference activities targeting Sikhs in Canada for decades. Advocating for Khalistan and against human rights abuses in India is not illegal in Canada and despite India’s claims, is not extremism. India has repeatedly tried to link increased trade ties with Canada to its demands that Canada suppress Sikh activism and advocacy. We are heartened to see Prime Minister Trudeau take a strong and principled position in support of human rights and Canadian values. We are hopeful that the Government of Canada will investigate and expose Indian interference in this country and take steps to safeguard the rights of Canadian Sikhs.”

The World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO) is a non-profit organization with a mandate to promote and protect the interests of Canadian Sikhs, as well as to promote and advocate for the protection of human rights of all individuals.

New Bladder Scanner Improves Care at Abbotsford Regional Hospital

The internal medicine unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH) has introduced a new bladder scanner that will improve care for patient’s undergoing different medical and urological procedures, thanks to a generous $20,000 donation from local resident Dao Tran, Abby Bike Shop.

The new bladder scanner will help clinicians diagnose bladder dysfunction and monitor the amount of urine in a patient’s bladder reducing costs associated with catheterisation. Use of the, non-invasive, scanner will help with greater patient comfort, improve patient dignity, and privacy.

Cole Gollner, clinical nurse educator, said, “the new bladder scanner will allow for timely and accurate interventions for our patients for many different medical and urological needs. Not only does the new bladder scanner look very modern, which alone has a significant impact in patient and provider trust in the product, it has significant improvements in design and functionality from previous models which will allow nurses and physicians to make the most appropriate clinical decision which can avoid unnecessary interventions and their associated risks”

Over the coming months the bladder scanner will be introduced for all patients giving more access to the latest treatments.

Second hospital, new cancer centre breaks ground in Surrey

People in Surrey are a significant step closer to better access to health care as the Province is breaking ground on a new second hospital in Surrey and new cancer centre.

“Surrey has been experiencing tremendous growth and people are struggling to get the health services they need while health-care workers are burning out,” said Premier David Eby. “We’re taking urgent action while carefully planning for the future. As we break ground on the new, state-of-the-art Surrey hospital and cancer centre, work continues on immediate actions to improve health services in the region, so

partment, including three CT scanners and two MRI machines, as well as a pharmacy, a full-service laboratory that can perform biochemistry, hematology and transfusions, and academic spaces. As well, a dedicated area for spiritual care and family gatherings will support cultural diversity and spiritual practices.

In addition to building a second hospital in Surrey, the community will also have a BC Cancer Centre with a 50-room oncology ambulatory care unit. The new Surrey cancer centre will include 54 chemotherapy treatment spaces and room for six linear

everyone gets the timely, high-quality health care they need.”

The second hospital in Surrey will bring 168 more hospital beds, including medical/surgical beds, high acuity beds and medical oncology beds, and a second emergency department for the community with 55 treatment spaces and access to specialists through virtual technologies.

It will include a surgical/perioperative suite with five operating rooms, four procedure rooms and virtual care options in all clinical service areas, such as virtual intake, emergency followups, outpatient clinics and pre- and post-surgical care, as well as robotics, wearable technology and smart beds.

Fraser Health has executed a DesignBuild Agreement with Ellis-Don Design Build Inc., which will be responsible for completing the design and construction of the new facility, making Surrey the first community in decades to get a second hospital.

Adding a second hospital in Surrey will also bring a large medical-imaging de-

accelerators for radiation therapy to provide care and support for people diagnosed with cancer, two PET/CTs and a cyclotron. This new centre is expected to provide approximatley 105,000 ambulatory oncology care visits, 50,000 radiation therapy visits and 22,000 chemotherapy visits each year. The cancer centre in Surrey is a part of B.C.’s 10-year B.C. cancer action plan, which outlines immediate steps to prevent, detect and treat cancers and deliver improved care for people facing cancer.

A new stand-alone 49-space child care centre will be built to support on-site health-care professionals, making it one of the first health-care capital projects to include on-site child care services.

The new state-of-the-art smart hospital will be digitally equipped and technologically advanced. It will be a fully electric hospital, one of the first in Canada. Its central location will also provide opportunities to integrate services with nearby hospitals to better support patients.

Fall-themed, eco-conscious food tricks

(NC) There’s nothing better than warm and hearty comfort food on a crisp day. Let the season’s best flavours shine through with some delicious and sustainable tips for eco-conscious food fans.

The apple of your pie

Apple picking is a popular fall activity and a great way to get your family outside to enjoy the brisk autumn weather. In addition to being a healthy and delicious snack, there are endless ways to use the apples you bring home. Bake an apple-tizing fall dessert like apple pie, crisp or cobbler.

Shop local

Buying fruits, vegetables and other foods from local farmers is the best way to get fresh produce while supporting community businesses. Pack up the kids (and your reusable grocery bags) and head to a farmer’s market for some seasonal goodies.

If you don’t have a farmer’s market, buying locally sourced foods from your gro-

cery store is a great alternative. For any food items you can’t buy from close to home, consider options from carbonneutral food companies who take significant action to lower emissions, like Maple Leaf Foods.

It’s cool to compost

If you don’t have a composter at home, make a DIY compost bin by drilling some holes into the top of an old tote bag that you’re no longer using. Add some dirt to the bottom and throw in any food scraps leftover from meals and activities such as pumpkin carving. Keep it up year-round to produce rich soil for your garden while reducing household food waste.

Letter to the Editor

Dear BC United Members, Today, I was informed that MLA Bruce Banman has left the BC United Caucus. While Bruce's departure is not entirely unexpected due to ongoing internal management challenges with him, it is crucial to remember that BC United is the only party that can defeat the NDP government and act on the significant challenges facing British Columbians. Our priorities continue to be lowering taxes, addressing the cost of living, getting our economy and natural resource sector back on track, and making our streets safe again by ensuring criminals face consequences.

On a positive note, BC United is gaining momentum. We are attracting outstanding candidates, exceeding fundraising targets, and engaging in unheld ridings across the province. Moving forward, our primary focus will be on nominating exceptional candidates who share our vision and values, including in Abbotsford South, to represent the best interests of our members and constituents.

I want to assure you that BC United remains strong and united, unwavering in

our commitment to addressing the needs of British Columbians while upholding the principles that define our party. Instead of behind-thescenes political manoeuvrings, we’ve been busy holding the NDP government accountable and working on a plan to restore public safety, close David Eby’s revolving door justice system, and prioritize the interests of law-abiding British Columbians.

Your ongoing support and dedication are invaluable to our cause, and together, we will continue working tirelessly to build a brighter future for our province.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Care Packages for Seniors: Spread Cheer Throughout the Year

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation partners with Cottage Worthington to help facilitate the purchase of social outings for our seniors to help them engage with the community.

Participating as active members of the community, and normalising their life, is critical for older adults to maintain independence, dignity, and engage in a healthy social life. And addressing challenges of loneliness is something we need to continue to work on to ensure we can create positive health outcomes in our long-term facilities.

A small act of kindness for just $20 month will help older adults participate in social outings.

Your gift will go towards the purchase of ice-cream, treats or visits to

a ticketed social event in the Fraser Valley.

With your meaningful support, for a cause close to your heart, we can help seniors achieve a greater feeling of productivity by means of increased social activity.

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation values wellbeing and are happy to know that we together can help improve the quality of life for those living within Fraser Health facilities.

If you would like to support this project, or others, please visit our website: https://www.fvhcf.ca/seniors/

Province caps annual rent increase well below inflation

For the second consecutive year, B.C.’s maximum allowable rent increase is being set below the inflation rate. The maximum increase for 2024 will be 3.5%.

“Across the country, costs have been increasing — especially for housing — at a rate that’s unsustainable for many people,” said Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Housing. “We know that’s the case for both landlords and renters, and that’s why we’ve found a balance to protect renters while helping to keep rental units on the market.”

The rent cap of 3.5% is well below the 12-month average inflation rate of 5.6% and applies to rent increases with an effective date on or after Jan. 1, 2024. If landlords choose to increase rent, they must provide a full three months’ notice to tenants using the correct Notice of Rent Increase form. B.C. landlords can increase rent only once every 12 months.

The Province has been taking steps to support renters throughout British Columbia. Before 2018, the annual allowable rent increase was based on the inflation rate plus 2%. Following a recommendation by the Rental Housing Task Force, the rent increase was reduced to just the inflation rate. A rent increase freeze was put in place in 2020 and 2021 to support renters during the COVID-19 pandemic. To protect renters from high inflation in 2023, the Province capped rent increases at 2%, well below the 5.4% inflation rate that would have otherwise applied.

“With renters facing a possible rent increase of almost 6%, the government listened to the voice of renters and acted, and I'm so glad they have,” said Spencer Chandra Herbert, Premier’s Special liaison for Renters, former chair of the Rental Housing Task Force and MLA for Vancouver-West End. “We also know people renting out homes are facing increased costs and want to make sure they continue to make places available for long-term renters.”

The 2024 maximum allowable rent increase is significantly less than what it would have been prior to changes made by the Province in 2018 that limited rent increases to inflation. As inflation returns to normal levels, the Province intends to return to an annual rent increase that is tied to B.C.'s Consumer Price Index in future years. Under the previous government, maximum rent increases could include an additional 2% on top of inflation. This change has saved families hundreds of dollars.

Since 2017, the Province has taken steps to better protect renters, including banning illegal renovictions and strengthening the financial penalties for landlords who evict tenants in bad faith. A renovic-

tion is an eviction that is carried out to renovate or repair a rental unit.

In addition, government provided the Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB) with $15.6 million in additional funding to improve services and reduce delays. The capacity of the RTB’s Compliance and Enforcement Unit was also increased to allow for earlier interventions and to eliminate the need for hearings in the first place.

Innovation You Can Eat: Abbotsford Tech District Addresses Affordability and Food Security

Floods, fires, and heat domes have forced British Columbia to grapple with immediate threats. But as we confront these emergencies, we also need to move swiftly and collaboratively to address the long-term implications for our communities, our economy, and our health.

We need to talk about food security. Urgently.

The Okanagan Valley, where recent wildfires have left new scars, contributes a quarter of British Columbia's agricultural output, including 96% of its soft fruits. Drought conditions across two thirds of the province have left livestock feed in short supply and hay prices skyrocketing. Abbotsford, still rebounding from the massive 2021 floods, accounts for almost 40% of farm gate receipts in BC, with the Fraser Valley as a whole accounting for half our total food production.

An ambitious proposal, years in the making, would unlock billions in private sector investment toward confronting these challenges head on. Abbotsford Tech District is a 140acre mixed-use development that will serve as a major hub for education, inspiration, innovation, and commercialization, starting with agricultural technology - agritech. It will create jobs and opportunities in Abbotsford and beyond, while helping the most productive farming area in North America become one of its most innovative, too.

Shakti Society is a non-profit society committed to empowering women, families and children through community forums, Shakti Awards, annual wellness days and other activities. Our mandate is to support all members of society, especially women, in amplifying their power and voice to become strong leaders and advocates for themselves and the community. We have introduced various initiatives that help ‘awaken the power within’ and create dialogue around feminism and gender equality. The Shakti Film Festival is our

Like the challenges we face, the opportunities are both far-reaching and immediate. Long-term thinking and big global ambitions must be balanced with practical, grounded, marketdriven innovations that help existing local producers feed more people next season while making more money to support their own families and workers. It's crucial that we break down the disconnect between abstract academic conversations about the future of food and the on-the-ground realities of actual farmers.

By working with partners like the University of the Fraser Valley and the Abbotsford School District, the Tech District will help unlock a high-quality, forward-looking "K to 16" approach to agricultural education. That will help inspire and prepare smart young people to become the tech-enabled and valueadded farmers and food producers of the future, who we will all rely upon to generate innovation we can eat.

Native American humourist Will Rogers once said “the farmer has to be an optimist or he wouldn't still be a farmer.” So let’s imagine a future that can be.

Imagine the University of the Fraser Valley launching a world-class MBA in agricultural leadership and technology. That's a natural and realistic niche that aligns with the university's founding purpose, but exceeds the grasp of its current resources - despite serving the

largest population centre in Canada without a comprehensive university. Picture its ambitious graduates, alongside other entrepreneurs from throughout BC, tapping into an onsite incubator that helps them develop and protect innovative business models that have passed the renowned BS detectors of actual farmers. Think about the implications of an integrated venture capital fund that draws local and global investment into BC's agritech potential, rather than companies leaving to thrive elsewhere. Imagine not just unlocking local innovation but fundamentally re-orienting BC from a net importer to a leading exporter of agricultural innovation. Imagine a revitalization of Indigenous land stewardship and food production that supports economic reconciliation.

Tech District aims to be part of the solution, proposing a complete community that pairs high-quality education and well-paying jobs with affordable multifamily housing options for students, young professionals, and families to live, learn, work and play. By building up not out, the Tech District will reduce the footprint of new development and preserve cherished natural areas and trail networks on Sumas Mountain.

After more than three years of quiet planning and wide-ranging stakeholder engagement, the Abbotsford Tech District concept will be put to the test in the months ahead. After a period of public consultation, Abbotsford City Council will consider an Official Community Plan amendment that would redesignate 140 acres of land, currently zoned for greenfield residential development, as a mixed-used innovation centre with spaces for affordable housing, education and employment.

Their decision is about more than just colours on a map: it’s a fork in the road for Abbotsford and a signal of which way the winds are blowing on two of the greatest crises British Columbia faces: affordability and food security. We’re optimistic.

Shakti Society

latest undertaking in our mission to increase and acknowledge women’s contribution to our society and their representation in film.

Shakti Society has addressed the influence of media and films on violence against women and we will be focussing and promoting films that showcase women in strong roles as well as filmmakers who are often marginalized due to various barriers, like race, colour, finances, language, disability, sexual orientation and various health issues including mental health.

That's just a glimpse of what’s possible in endowed spaces within the proposed B.L. Au Centre for Innovation and Food Security. This approximately $50M building will be not only the physical cornerstone of the proposed Abbotsford Tech District, but also drive the growth of a local tech cluster for decades to come - starting with agritech. Especially as "work from anywhere" trends intensify, housing has become increasingly unaffordable in desirable suburbs like Abbotsford, which has been identified by the provincial government as a top ten priority for new affordable housing supply.

We are hosting our film festival on October 13h and 14th, in honour of the International Day of the Girl Child. We invite film and media personalities as well as community leaders to engage in action oriented discussions about the role that media plays in shaping society and how we as consumers of media also play a big part in creating our culture.

This year’s program will consist of films that will include feature films, documentaries, shorts and student films. People of all genders are welcome to submit their films as long as

I have grown up watching and admiring such heroes who perform their own action sequences.” He went on to add, “It’s not about the effects; it’s about the dedication and heart you put into every move. I am so proud and happy that I was able to do all my stunts without even a stuntman or wires.”

Vaani on her fashion choice

Actress Raveena Tandon, who graces the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer 3, will be seen walking down the memory lane as she reminisced about shooting barefoot for the iconic song Tip Tip Barsa Paani from Mohra at a construction site which was full of nails. During the episode, contestant Shivanshu Soni and choreographer Vivek Chachere performed on Tip Tip Barsa Paani. Talking about the song, the KGF 2 actress got nostalgic as she said, “We were shooting at a construction site, and I was barefoot, surrounded by nails that were causing discomfort. I was dressed in a saree, and the movements that Rekha Ji and Chinni Ji were executing, as well as the assistance they provided while wearing knee pads, left me with knee cuts when I returned home. I had to take tetanus injections, and two days later, I fell ill due to the exposure to rain.” She further mentioned, “The glamour you see onscreen conceals the untold stories behind the scenes. During rehearsals, injuries are commonplace, yet we all endure them.

Actress Vaani Kapoor is known dancers, he also guided artistes for her impeccable fashion sense. She has time and again proved herself to be quite the fashion icon, leaving everyone swooning on multiple occasions. In a recent interview, Vaani spoke about her fashion choices and how they are a reflection of her personality. She said, “Fashion is a big part of who I am. It’s how I express my creativity, individuality, and style. It feels amazing when people appreciate my fashion choices.” She added that she believes she can pull off various styles, from edgy to classic, daring to simple. She even loves a bit of

bling! Whether she’s in Western or Indian clothing, she puts her heart into it. The War actress elaborated, “I think my fashion sense is a mix of elegance and trying new things. I really enjoy dressing up in my own unique way that makes a statement and helps me feel confident. I believe I can pull off various styles - from edgy to classic, daring to simple, and I even love a bit of bling! Whether I'm in Western or Indian clothing, I put my heart into it.” Vaani’s fashion sense has been praised by many, including her fans and fellow celebrities. She has been featured in several fashion magazines.

Kusha on her divorce being dissected online

The actor said that director Kundan Shah had a lot of footage before editing the film but he went on to ruthlessly chop the film at the edit table as he was very clear about the story. Naseeruddin said:

“I did the film because I found this script very funny and Kundan Shah, the director, was a very good friend. But, when I started working on it, I thought, ‘This is the stupidest film ever being made, if it is ever made’.” The actor also shared that working on the film was a tough process as he had a different perspective of the character which wasn’t aligned with that of Kundan . “And these were not the days of vanity van, we couldn’t afford a vanity van. In

fact, the entire cost of production of ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ equals the production cost of one day’s shooting today. My thoughts about the character and how I would play it were vastly different from Kundan’s,” he said. “We shot for almost 45 days and Kundan had so much material at hand that he had to ruthlessly edit the film. The amount of material that has been thrown out of ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ would make another film”.

“But Kundan was very clear in his head about what he wanted from the film, from the story and from his actors. He was very much influenced by the Marx Brothers and that reflects in the storytelling of ‘Jane Bhi Do Yaaro’,” he added.

Actress Kusha Kapila has said that she understands that as a public figure, even her personal life will always be under scrutiny, but added that she works hard, everyday, to about how she dealt with the trolling she has been facing ever since she announced her separation from her former husband Zorawar Ahluwalia. She told the news channel that has a strong support system of friends, family, and colleagues. She added, “I do understand that this is a part of being a public person like if you’re profiting off being a public person, I understand that this is now a

part of that. It is the job of the people to comment and which was going to happen. I think my life now is in the service of making my skin ensure she has thick-skin to deal with the scrutiny. Kusha was talking to an entertainment channel when she was asked thicker and thicker every day. And that’s just what I work towards literally every day I have to be immune, I have to be thick-skinned and the scars will begin to heal soon enough.” She will next be seen in Bhumi Pednekar-Shehnaaz Gill's Thank You For Coming as well we Arjun Kapoor's noir thriller The Ladykiller.
