Background

Health disparities, defined by the CDC as “preventable differences in the burden of disease, injury, violence, or in opportunities to achieve optimal health experienced by socially disadvantaged racial, ethnic, and other population groups in all age groups.” In addition, in our project we’re also looking at the disparity within the healthcare system. The unequal information and power among doctors, nurses, pharmacists, patients, and many other groups in the healthcare system.
