SALES GUIDE
To our valued Sales Partners Thank you for taking on our line of Fine Art Tapestries. We will work hard to make your customers happy. Wall tapestries are another form of art with highly attractive qualities. Tapestries are generously large and add a woven texture to its imagery creating a presence beyond that of a print. We have chosen to create both a traditional and modern line of wall tapestries. We are the world leader in tapestries and each piece is woven in the United States. As a company, our strengths are in Design and Shipping. Our Design Team is constantly creating and updating to ensure we have the very best in trend-setting art. As we weave each piece in our mills in North Carolina, we can ship quickly and there is no minimum order. We have designed the Fine Art Tapestries website to be an indispensable tool for both you, and your consumers. All pricing information is hidden until you login to your account. All of our tapestries come lined with a pocket for a hanging rod and a weight at the bottom. On the road you will encounter stores that have a traditional view of tapestries and cannot conceive of a modern look. Please keep a sample with you. Our tapestries are easily packable and take up little space or weight. A sample is invaluable to closing the sale. To clear the customer's expectations, I often refer to our tapestries as textured art before I have an opportunity to show them the sample. We recommend that a store hang a tapestry on the wall just as they would any other form of art. Many of our customers merely use furniture tacks to hang the tapestries to the wall (very easy to hang) and keep the rods in storage. Some hang the tapestry with the rod but use small finishing nails to hold the rods as opposed to breaking out the hardware. The main point is to get the tapestries on the wall. We do sell racks, but nothing beats a room display! We value your input into this partnership. Samples are Free. If you would like to order a tapestry for personal use we give you a 50% discount off wholesale. I encourage you to hang a tapestry in your house. The comments from your friends will give you the stories to help sell the product.
We are always here to help. Your first and most important contact is Ann Wetherill (800) 344-3188. She has been with the company for over ten years and knows the products inside and out. Our customer service manager is Laurie Wood and she is also very knowledgeable. If you have complex questions, Rufus Honeycutt, our National Sales Manager, Josh Evans, our Digital Accounts Manager, are available as well. Lastly, I am involved with all aspects of our operation and you can feel free to contact me, should the need arise. Many retailers have added internet based sales. We have embraced electronic selling and we are glad to assist your customers in adding our products to their web sites if they so choose. Our drop ship program is world class and allows your customers to have a virtual store in addition to their retail locations. The catalog you have before you is a representation of the line. The entire line on the Fine Art Tapestries web site is comprised of nearly 2,000 designs; four times what we can show here. If you can’t find what you need in the catalog, chances are it's on the web. Everything on the web can be instantly turned into a catalog with our PDF generator. Please call Ann or Josh and they can walk you through the process. It is a great way to make mini catalogs for customers with unique needs. Again, thank you for taking on our line. We will pay you promptly and take exceptional care of your customers. Sincerely,
George Clark President, Fine Art Tapestries
Questions and Answers What makes tapestries better than other art? Tapestries are large, absorb sound (adding an acoustic elegance to a room), and the weaves in the art enhance the image. What do tapestries cost wholesale? The average cost is $85. We have larger pieces that can cost over $200 wholesale. What are they made of? Most of our tapestries are woven from 100% cotton, although we do sometimes add specialty yarns (chenille, wool, boucles) to get a desired look. How many different colored threads do you use? We generally use no more than six colors (black, white, red, green, yellow & blue). From these we can generate thousands of colors and create nearly any image. There is more than 18 miles of cotton in each wall hanging. How do most stores display tapestries? We recommend that a store hang a tapestry on the wall just as they would any other form of art. Many of our customers merely use furniture tacks to hang the tapestries to the wall (very easy to hang) and keep the rods in storage. Some hang the tapestry with the rod but use small finishing nails to hold the rods as opposed to breaking out the hardware. Again, get the tapestries on the wall!
How does a consumer hang a tapestry? Consumers use both rods and tacks to hang tapestries.
Do you sell rods? Yes, we have a fine selection of rods. The wholesale price ranges from $8 to $18 each.
What is the normal lead time for an order? Two weeks if we have to make the product. In stock items ship in 2 – 3 days.
How are your tapestries shipped? We ship via FedEx ground. The tapestries are rolled and bagged and then placed in a box.
What if the tapestry is wrinkled or skewed? The tapestries are very durable. Iron and starch them as needed. They can be stretched, pulled and walked on, they will not break.
Do you have a return policy? Call for a return authorization number. Returns after two weeks are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
You mentioned drop ship, is there a fee? Our drop ship fee is $5 plus shipping and handling.
Can my store get a printed catalog without pricing to show their customers?
Our website allows for stores to print out whatever they need from the catalog. We update items weekly, so we no longer print a catalog. Our website also does not display pricing unless you are logged in.
Where do you show at market? High Point Showplace Building, Villas Suite 1200 and in Las Vegas Building C suite 3700.
Can I take my customers to your showroom? Yes, we welcome you and your customers to our showrooms.
