Airborne Avenue Autumn Winter 19
The Concept The inspiration for this Autumn Winter collection comes from Aircraft, Pilots and Aviation equipment that were present and in action during the World Wars. The taits of aviation design that catch the eye of observers are the symmetry of components, the coherent identity and compelling presence. The person most well-suited as the muse for this concept is Sir J.R.D. Tata, the founder of the aviation industry in India. He was a fearless airman and obtained the first pilot license that was issued in India. The volumes and functionality were built in the aviation uniforms with an overlapping succession of full and void producing contrast. Bomber Jacket is an outcome of aviation uniform from the 1950s. The outcome is a well constructed, technical and sustainable collection. The garments are designed to be disassembled into new products, increasing the longevity of the product. Use of sustainable textiles like khadi and Organic cotton makes this collection comprehensively sustainable.
