I was driving down the r o a d t h e o t h e r d a y, a n d pulled up behind a vehicle t h a t h a d a b u m p e r s t i c k e r. The world we live in now is much different than the world I g rew up in. It used to be that people of different opinions worked with each other to collaborate and solve problems. This was at the highest levels of g ov e r n m e n t a n d g l o b a l o r g a n i z a t i o n s . Yo u d i d n’ t a l ways ag ree with others, and sometimes the passion in the r o o m l e d t o u g l y c o nv e r s a tions, but things still got d o n e. P r o g r e s s w a s m a d e. Are we making prog ress anymore? Sometimes, I guess w e a r e. B u t i t s e e m s t o b e “forced” prog ress, forced by t h o s e t h a t h av e t h e m o s t votes. We c a n d i s c u s s w o r l d politics until we are blue ( o r r e d ) i n t h e f a c e. W h a t I find unacceptable is the way we are treating each other at the micro-level.
