The New Mosque by José A. Campos Sánchez
Lcated on the Albayzin neighbourhood, next to the Saint Nicolas view point, this Islamic Temple was inaugurated in 2003. It was the first Mosque to be built in Granada since 1492. The building was promoted by a Muslim association in 1980 but they had a lot of bureaucratic problems and, in 1996, the ceremony of laying the first stone took place but the works took a long time.
