Have you ever wondered what it was like to live on a farm in the days of oil lamps? How about in a small Virginia town before the big highways came? What happened when people got into trouble in the 1800s? Answer these questions and more at Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre’s History Camp! Campers will explore a wide array of hands-on activities connected to Brentsville’s historic buildings including a farmhouse, school, courthouse, and jail, and have a series of adventures throughout the week that will introduce them to the ways people have lived in Prince William County from Native Americans to the present day.

Century Farm Life Summer Camp

Living at Ben Lomond was much different in the past than today. Farmers worked to produce the food they ate, used tools around the farm, cooked food on open fires or hearths, learned basic sewing techniques, cared for farm animals, and played games and forms of entertainment to occupy their time. Experience all these 19th century farm life activities.
