CAMP WINGAPO JR. Ages 6-8

Camp Wingapo, pronounced win-gap-o, was a Powhattan word to greet new friends. This fun, full day camp for ages 6-8, combines friendship building activities like obstacle courses, tug-o-war, scavengers hunts, and crafts with fun outdoor adventures like fishing, boating, archery, and mini golf. With miles and miles of beautiful trails and an almost 8-acre pond, campers will stay active, have fun, and enjoy a new adventure each week. Our weekly themes are sure to thrill as campers take part in new activities, learn new skills, and meet new friends. Camp Wingapo is a fully outdoor camp with shelters for inclement weather. Our weekly field trips include local pools, waterparks, trampoline p arks, bowling, and more! Come join us for a summer of fun and adventure!

Learn the safe and effective way to handle and shoot recurve and compound bows, while understanding the differences between them. Training provided by National Archery Association certified instructors. All equipment is provided.

FISHING CAMP Ages 7 -14

For the first timer or experienced fisherman, this camp will cover all of the basics of pond fishing. You will learn different ways to fish and how to target different species of fish. Equipment provided but you can bring along your lucky rod if you choose too. Friday will be used as a weather make up day if needed.

My children both had a great time at fishing camp. The counselors were exceptional. My oldest is 14 and I realize this is going to be one of his last camp experiences likely. I was so delighted to get a text with a photo of him holding the fish he caught. It meant a lot to him and it’s something that he will remember for a long time.
