Prince William Ice Center

Ice Hockey requires a great deal of balance and agility, as well as knowledge of an exciting, fast-paced game. Our camps provide on-ice lessons, off-ice videos, and outdoor play that combines a week of fun and excitement, while helping young players develop the skills needed for playing on a team. Stay cool in the summer and the game heats up. We welcome children ages 5-11 t join us on the ice for a fun and positive skating experience. Children will master the basics of ice skating during our daily on-ice lessons. In addition to an afternoon free skate, kids will take part in various activities, such as, crafts, outdoor sports and games. We have over 130 kids in our Learn to Play Hockey Program, and our Summer Camps are a favorite among beginner hockey players. The camps help prepare kids for team play that starts up in the Fall. Ice Hockey is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and kids in our camps often come back for additional weeks of fun and excitement. This is your chance to be part of our growing hockey family! Our camps are for skaters with little to no skating experience. Participants will learn how to skate and improve their skills in a fun filled environment.

Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center

Freedom Aquatic Center offers a variety of unique camp programs ranging in ages from 3-15 and part-day or fullday camp programs for all of your arts, education and recreation needs! From a Preschool Camp to a new outdoor recreation camp teaching survival techniques with an overnight camping trip, FAFC offers it all! Their camps are unique for several reasons; however, one that stands out is the ability to drop off at 6:30 a.m. and pick up as late as 6:30 p.m. The most unique aspect of our camp programming is our staff. Our camp staff is strategically picked and embark through a two week training and orientation week to ensure the team is a cohesive group before their first day with the summer campers. Our camp team is made up of young adults starting at 18 years in age all the way up to 40+. All who have a passion to PLAY and help the community’s youth find passion through summer recreation. Our team leaders strive to create an environment where camp staff can lean on each other throughout the day and trust one another. Our camp family stays in touch throughout the year and generally are friends much longer than the 3 months in between school years. When a camp staff member enjoys his/her job and looks forward to coming to work each day to help a camper over come a new challenge or find a new passion for rock climbing the parents can feel that environment and know their child is in a safe and productive camp setting. Each year during the interview process, we have SEVERAL applicants that were previous summer campers. This makes our hearts full and smiles shine knowing that the camp programs and staff had a positive

impact on their childhood. The unique aspect of having a strong and passionate camp team is reflective in each area of our camp program. Our counselors are not hired just be staff for the summer, they are the environment and set the tone for the success of the program. Their desire to help each child over come a challenge or meet a new friend is reflected through the smiles and high fives we observe on a daily basis. The campers and staff become a family throughout the summer while experience rock climbing, pool relays, new crafts and more each day.

Our day camps offer pick-up locations throughout Northern Virginia (including one in Manassas), and our day and overnight camps take place at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park. Our camps take place at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park at 13220 Yates Ford Road in Clifton, VA. We offer seven convenient pick-up locations in Northern Virginia for our day camps. Our location in Prince William County is in Manassas at Osbourn High School. We also offer a pick-up location in Centreville at Bull Run Regional Park, which is very close to Prince William County. Please visit our website at www.adventurelinks.net to view our schedule and a complete list of pick-up locations. Day camps start at $455/week; Overnight camps start at $750/session; Teen Expeditions start at $925/session Our pick-up locations, instructors, and programs are what make us unique. Very few camps offer convenient pick-up locations - making sending your child to summer camp extremely convenient. Our instructors undergo a very extensive training process, and are more than just a “camp counselor. We are also accredited by the American Camp Association

which holds us to a much higher standard than the many non-accredited camps. Lastly, because we offer camps for kids and teens in 2nd12th grade, campers can grow through Adventure Links. Younger kids can start in our Hemlock Adventure camp, then as they become more experienced and adventurous, can move into our overnight camp options. Finally, as a teen, campers and their friends can join us on a hiking and camping expedition to New England or elsewhere!
