EARLY YEARS PROVISION
AT GROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL
AND NURSERY NURSERY We have a fabulous Nursery environment which has recently been completely refurbished. This has created a wonderful learning experience for the children whereby they are guided by the experienced staff. The emphasis is definitely on ‘learning through play thus allowing the children to make a good start to their schooling. The environment is also enhanced by two busy, wellresourced outdoor areas. RECEPTION With an emphasis on expectation, potential and child-centred learning, the children are able to build on their successful start once they enter the Reception classrooms. Transition into Reception is always very smooth which allows the children to feel happy and secure within their environments. The children enjoy learning both inside and outside of the classroom allowing them to make good relationships with their peers as well as the Teachers and
Teaching Assistants who support them each day.
Ofsted were VERY complimentary about our Early Years- here are just some of the things they said: • “Children make a strong start to their schooling in Nursery and Reception classes. Each day, children’s learning is promoted by interesting tasks set within a stimulating environment”. • “Children play both inside and outside with interest and enjoyment, and make good progress as a result”. • “In the early years, children grow in confidence and behave very well”. • “The 2016 results, and the progress seen in ‘Proud Books’, show that children are now making good progress”. • “Parents are made to feel welcome and commented on this to inspectors. They are given opportunities to find out about their children’s learning”. n

As a result the goose starts to lay golden eggs, valuable enough to pay off all the rent which she owes and allowing Mother Goose to move to the Palace of St Peters. Word of the golden goose reaches the ears of villain Demon Discord who offers Mother Goose youth and beauty in exchange for the goose. Claudio has hopes for nobleman’s daughter Hero, while the avowedly single Benedick spars wittily with Beatrice. As the homecoming masked ball begins, Don Pedro aims to assist Claudio to win Hero’s hand - but Don John aims to make trouble. So behind the disguises, confusion & comedy ensue - until foolish Dogberry and his Watch foil Don John’s plot. In the end, it all turns out to be “much ado about nothing”. Tickets: £9-£12
